Worth every minute. A few tips:
- Sunset and/or sunrise is best.
- Definitely walk into the water and look around for even more amazing photos, it's very shallow and you can go very far. We just wore flip flops, no need for gumboots (but would have been more comfortable).
- Keep dog on leash, don't ruin this privilege for others please. If going in water just prepare to do some brushing and washing after as they will bring home plenty of salt crystals.

this has to be one of the best places we decided to stop on our little road trip. if you come here during sunrise or sunset, you'll get one of the most stunning views in the sky and it reflects beautifully in the lake. the viewing platform itself is a lovely shape, and is brilliant for taking photos. please, stop by here, you will not regret it!!

Perfect view on the sea lake. Incredible sky mirror. According to Wiki, the lake is very shallow. But if you want to see the lake, it is better to come around winter. In hot days, the lake is usually dry, allowing people to see the salt shell bottom, which is another different scene.

It's a great getaway, or photography location. It's 5 hours driving from Melbourne but well worth the long drive.

The most amazing times for visiting the place will be sunrise and sunset time. Depending on the season, it will have a different pink color on the water.

Words nor photos are going to do this place justice. The only way to experience this place is to visit. Take your time and enjoy it's natural beauty. Please being a camera, it presents so much opportunity for great shots.
There are plenty of places for a picnic and toilets on site.

What a magical place by day and by night. Beautiful sunset and starry skies viewed from the sky lounge seat. Chilly so dress warmly. By day the lake was serene and a beautiful pink colour, walking out on the viewing platform was a great way the experience the lake and enjoy time in nature

Sunset was more impressive than sunrise for the range of colours when we visited but at sunset there were 30-40 people all keen to get their photos. At sunrise there were only 4 people and it was a much more relaxed atmosphere to enjoy this wonderful spot.

While Lake Tyrell is particularly scenic at sunrise or sunset, anytime is 100% worth getting there!

Bit windy today, but you must drop past here. Loos , viewing platforms and plenty parking. We'll maintained.
EDIT:NO wind today.
We did the walk from the info centre to lakeside. Leisurely 30min walk (1x way).
Take water & insect repellent.

Beautiful spot to see the pink lake. It was +40°C but there is parking right next to the viewing platform. There are also nearby toilet facilities which were very clean and well looked after :)

An absolute must see on your way by car from Adelaide to Melbourne. Unfortunately Google Maps did not show the right way to the viewing point straight away, but once I found the place, I truly and utterly enjoyed the breathtaking view.

Wait until all other visitors left the view point and enjoy the moment on your own. It is amazing to see how the horizontal and the salt lake become one.

What a suprise. Salt lake near Sea Lake. Lake looks pink and has edges or dried areas leaving a salt crust. Excellent viewing platform. Well worth a visit.
