We've all stayed in country motels - there are very few new ones, they are usually made over to some extent..... or not... you learn to expect very little, or just be disappointed....

This place however, is one of the very best!
Fresh, clean, great linen and towels, provisions, all you could possibly need in a spacious room. You'll book again.

Have stayed at this motel twice now, and it has been a lovely life saver on the long drive between Melbourne and South Australia's Riverland.
We booked online and were able to check in easily at any time.
The rooms were clean and well-appointed and we were impressed by the comfortable bed and smart tv, which meant we could relax and stream our favourite shows.
Very grateful for the vending machine with noodles for an emergency dinner, and so glad to know there is a pet friendly place for travellers with furry friends.
Pool looked great but it was raining heavily. Hope to use it another time when we stay again.

We struggled to find accommodation with a dog but Helen came to our rescue, our room was very clean and bed was very comfortable after a long day on the road. Lake Tyrell was a stone throw away from the motel (10 mins), Helen told us what time sunset was and we got to experience a beautiful sunset visiting a pink salt lake. The self check in and check is such a great idea. Thanks for the noodles too, as we arrived late and nothing was open, this was a godsend.

Lovely retro motel, seems recently renovated our room was fresh and clean. Self check in was super easy and convenient. Bed was very comfy, nice hot shower and all the mini bar and snacks you can think of. Thank you Helen and team for a most enjoyable stay ❤

Great place, very clean, and close to the lake view. My car was stuck around the lake, and the owner helped me find help. Great service!

Better than what I expected. Stayed in the executive room. Bed was super comfy and there was even a mini bar available. Highly recommend to stay when you come to visit tge Lake.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised. We loved our stay in this boutique hotel where we were warm, safe, and extremely comfortable. Don’t judge this book by the cover. Once inside our room, we enjoyed the extra little touches the owners make. Shower is hot and powerful. The room and the bed is warm despite it being freezing outside. Apart from viewing Lake Tyrrell we were here to see the magnificent art work on the local Silo. I drew a quick sketch. Hope you like it.

Great motel, and an excellent spot. The rooms were very comfortable and the facilities very good too. Most importantly we lost something in one of the rooms and the staff bent over backward to help with the search process. Terrific communication and effort by all involved. Thank you, we'll be back.

Our family of four stayed overnight in the rear cottage, which was excellent value. Huge space and very clean, a very welcome change after various tiny and grotty motel rooms! The cottage feels like home, has fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry, for longer stays. There's even a pool, which would be a hit with the kids in summer. Friendly and helpful owners, highly recommend!

Lovely clean and friendly room. Retro feel. Very comfortable bed with crisp clean linen. The mini bar and snacks were everything a traveller could desire.
We had a delicious meal. T bone steak covered the plate and cooked just the way we ordered it. Followed by home made desert, apple pie, sticky date pudding or lemon meringue pie.Robin gave us a friendly greeting on arrival and made us feel like old friends. We are definitely making this our accommodation and eating spot when travelling Broken Hill to Melbourne and return. Would highly recommend. Well done.

At 9.30pm trying to book a Motel in Mildura was impossible as the receptions were closed and the phones rang out. Had to head back to Melbourne the next day anyhow so tried booking online at Sea Lake Motel (2 hours drive) which I had stayed at the night before on the way up to Mildura. The automated system was AMAZING. I did it all online, received the confirmation instantly by email and SMS and had no problems accessing the room key from the machine when I arrived and received an automated Tax Invoice by email. Such an easy process for even an old guy like me (nearly 60yo). Should be more Hotels with these systems. Room was great too with a comfortable bed, good shower head, TV that works and mini bar!!

Perfect for a quick late stopover before kicking on the next day. Great that our dog could stay, and the nearby sports ground was handy to go for walkies. Tidy, well presented, handy set up. Helpful manager and super easy 24 hour check in.

Perfect location and super easy check-in. Helen was really friendly and helpful. Really clean and comfortable rooms. I love the retro vibe. The pool was exactly what we needed after a hot day touring. I’m sorry I couldn’t spend longer in it. Thanks for recommending the Sunset Lake Tyrrell tour - we got some awesome photos. Will definitely recommend this motel to others.

Lovely little motel. Rooms were very clean, beds comfy, excellent shower. Appreciated the cereal packets for breakfast and bottle of water. Room has everything you need, kettle with tea and coffee, microwave and mini fridge.
Aircon was on for our arrival.

The place is very well positioned and maintained. Clean and warmly homey feel. Check in is anytime convenience! Even breakfast cereal got 6 different varieties and brands to choose from! The owner of the premise Helen was so helpful. We arrived real late and locked ourselves outside. Helen came to immediate assistance in providing us the spare keys. I left my gloves behind and Helen was trying best to help me look for them too. Would highly recommend. After the star gazing, come to Sea lake Motel and feel right at home!!!

Easy check-in. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Liked that we received a thank you for leaving the room clean for housekeeping. FYI for the owner: the fluorescent light in the bathroom is broken. Still 5 stars though.

Great place! Room was spotlessly clean and bed was comfy. Lots of thought has gone into the amenities on-site and in the room. 24-hour self-serve booking and check-in is very easy and convenient - especially for people arriving through the night or booking last minute. Would stay again.
