What an absolute gem this is. A donation museum which showcases the history of the area. From the cobb & co run, to drovers, the wool industry, hospital/health, shops, local photos and lets not forget the fish tank representing the fish species in the river. Spent a couple of hours wandering and reading the info.
Well done to the Surat community & regional council.

Time never stops, but history remains in the past forever. This museum is very small, but it records the local development history in detail.

Great little museum, very good displays on the cattle & sheep history of the area, and of course the Cobb & Co story and history.

This a perfect free muesum for this little town. It's suggested a gold coin donation to be given and well I do feel like that is the very leastyou can offer.

Great place. Lots of interesting memorabilia, book exchange, library even a huge fish tank of local fish. Staff very helpful and friendly.

We visited Surat for a bit of a day trip not knowing what to expect. We came across the Cobb & Co Changing Station and wandered in not expecting very much. We were well and truly surprised. The museum is expertly presented, has heaps of informative information about the area and the importance of Cobb & Co in the day and the change stations which played a crucial role to the whole complex. Take some time out and visit.
