The food was nice, tho the brisket came out after the breakfast was served, but i got it in the end, so all good and service ok only let down was there was dried food on the menu. That was alittle off putting. But I still think it is worth 4 1/2 stars, but seeing that there's no half, I put 5.

A pleasant place to come for lunch. My husband and son couldn't finish the burger and chips. Both enjoyed them. I had the Mediterranean salad which was tasty. This venue holds a liquor licence too, so beer/wine or tea/coffee with lunch. A nice make over of what used to be the Johnny Mac pub.

My favourite place for coffee because the people are awesome. Food's good and my experience of the service is always top notch. Did I mention that the people who work here are awesome? Best reason I know for making Melba's my adjunct office.

Staff and iced chocolate are equally excellent! My food (brisket tacos- yummy) was delivered promptly and my iced chocolate was full of flavour, not just milk :] chill atmosphere; could he a bit livelier, but a great place to get food and chill out.

My fiancé and I had our engagement party in Melba's function room below The Manhattan.
Excellent package!
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Venue set up beautifully, only requiring personal touches to make the night uniquely ours.
I would highly recommend their venue for your next function.

Set on the main drag in Wagga Wagga’s busy shopping district, Melbas Bakery and Eatery Wagga was recommended to us by a local. Walking into the cafeteria-like interior, I had my doubts. How could mass-produced breakfast at this level have the artisan touches I crave? I settled in with a decent cappuccino ($4.50) made on their house-roasted Green Bean Coffee and prepared to choke on my assumptions.

Topped with more bacon than seemed proper, the house-made waffle ($16) was the fluffiest American waffle I’ve encountered since Las Vegas. Dripping in (real) maple syrup with oozing pats of Pepe Saya butter, this plate conquered me (but I gave it a really good bash).

Continuing the Americana theme, Memphis Boston beans ($18) threaded pulled smoked pork butt though chipotle beans in the best rendition of this dish I’ve eaten. It’s served with poached eggs and house-made sourdough, and cleverly garnished with lemon and pickled onions to aid digestion (it’s another big serve of food). We’d added on some chilli sauce that looked like an insipid faintly pink mayo. so we slathered it on, only to be thoroughly spanked for our assumptions.

Don’t judge books by their covers was clearly the lesson of the day. Recommended!

Edit 11/11/20: It’s super rare for me to revisit a spot when I’m travelling somewhere new, but I broke that rule for Melba’s. This means I’ve now tried all four items on their short breakfast menu, including this well-balanced breakfast wrap ($15). Avoiding the usual issues, it wasn’t too wet, with quality baby spinach keeping a bit of crunch against cheese, bacon, fried eggs, onion relish, chipotle aioli and a hashbrown. Served open, the brekky sandwich ($12) normally is a vegetable-leaning affair with mushrooms, onion, tomatoes, American cheese, a fried egg and Hollandaise. My dining companion got bacon and hashbrown envy so opted to customise, to good effect. This time I ordered my coffee ($4.50) strong and found it much better to drink. I reckon I ripped Melba’s off half a star when I only awarded them 4.5 stars last time ‘round... better fix that now!

While visiting Wagga, we enjoyed our lunch so much that we went back for breakfast! They make their own brioche rolls and can recommend their burgers and bacon and egg rolls! Fresh orange juice was also delicious! Very friendly staff.

Amazing coffee and fruit slice. Friendly staff. I rode up to the window and didn't even need to get off my bike. Though there were plenty of outdoor tables if I wanted to use one!

It's somewhere I've been meaning to check out for a while and it definitely upheld it's reputation 👍 Great quality food at a decent price and attention to detail in the presentation of their meals. I'll be going back 🌟

We went here when we were on holidays in Wagga. The staff were very accommodating to my wife's coeliac requirements. Good coffee and good food. They also have an indoor kids play area in their back room.

Had a wonderful breakfast here in Wagga Wagga. The servings were large and the bacon was delicious. Kids enjoyed the Nutella shake and passion mango smoothie. Rate this place highly.

I stopped into Melba's Bakehouse & Eatery to purchase a take away Bacon and Egg roll and a coffee before driving back to Canberra and could not have been more impressed. The service was excellent, the bacon and egg roll was as good as any I have eaten and the coffee was great. Well priced too. Recommend supporting this business.

Wow!! What an absolute treat we had this morning !!
I am not a quick decisive customer (I know.. annoying) so when I took a few minutes to decide we were served with patience and conversation to "help" me decide.
Top notch customer service!!
As for the Iced Lattes, you certainly know how to make a proper, enjoyable drink !!
It was our first time visiting Melbas, and we were pleasantly surprised, we will definitely return.
I am not sure if the lovely lady that served us via the side window but a huge Thankyou to you, to the owner of Melbas you have the perfect team of staff..look after them :)
