Wow! Super impressed! Great range for kids. Educational and clean! Today is 35 degrees… so maybe visit on a cooler day… if it was not for the heat it would be the best experience ever!

I cant believe this was free. The town i come from, we have a Zoo this big that costs a fortune to visit.
Great selection of animals and the free flight aviary was enormous.

Well done Wagga council.

AMAZING!!
I really only put this on the list to go because we were stopping in wagga wagga anyway and it was free.
It's absolutely amazing and even more so because it's absolutely free.
The grounds are so beautiful. It would be a glorious place to visit even without the animals.
We loved every part of it.

Loved this place. So good we went twice while visiting. Heaps of animals and a great way to spend an hour in Wagga. The staff are amazing - very friendly, enthusiastic and eager to educate on the animals at the zoo through experience where possible. We got to pat the dingoes, cuddle Wilbur the sheep and feed a Joey. Shout out to Shannon who was so generous with her time and knowledge. Best of all it’s free ❤

Amazing! The Wagga Wagga Zoo & Aviary sports a wide range of animals and birds. I cannot believe that they do all of this and still manage to maintain free entrance! Free! This is very generous and I would highly recommend everyone donate at least the change they have in their wallet because what they give us here is amazing and well worth it!

The dingo's are playful and cheeky. The wombat is grumpy as they tend to be. They even many free roaming peacocks. Some their splendid blue and others a vivid ivory white and others have splotches of albinism throughout making them very unique. There are birds of all shapes, sizes and colours.

The coffee shop next door is also excellent and I would be remiss not to recommend their doughnuts.

This is great for children and adults alike and I will certainly be returning for more with my family.

I gave Wagga Wagga Zoo & Aviary a 5 out of 5 stars. Stay tuned for my next review.

Had my dad's wake in the restaurant and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. Some people walked around the zoo and loved the large variety of animals. The cafe offered a variety of foods and drinks.
The food for the wake was fresh and well presented.
I would highly recommend a visit.

One of the best zoos ever visited and it is all free. Well maintained and plenty of native animals. Several peacocks roam freely around the zoo. The aviary is also full of colourful birds. The gardens where the zoo is located is also well maintained and has a good collection of local flora. We missed out on the miniature railway it being run only on the first and third Sundays of the month.

Beautiful place, recommended for family. Miniature train is the main attraction, kids may love this. Pay an attention if it is windy because of the dust around the zoo.

Beautiful Zoo with free flight aviary, Zoo is free to visit however there is a donation box if you choose too. There is a Childrens play area , there are Free BBQ' under cover. Free Parking is plentiful though during school holidays it can become full. Landscaped lawns, small kiosk for food, public amenities are clean, wheelchair access is good throughout the park. Well worth a visit.

We visit at least a few times a year.
It is a 'must visit location' with visiting family and friends. The walk in bird aviary is a tranquil experience. The resident peacocks are one of my favourites along with 'angry' emu.

Staff are friendly and do an amazing job maintaining the zoo and caring for the animals.
