Metropole Hotel

Beautiful old pub that has been given a new lease on life. The interiors are stunning and create a really fun, fresh experience. The food has been excellent both times we’ve dined here since it re-opened. The perfect spot for a long lunch. Can’t wait to sit out on the alfresco under the umbrellas when the weather cools down. Such a great addition to Palmer Street. We will be back a lot!

Awesome vibe and service, went here for a pub crawl and the staff were very accomodating, there’s a lot of seating available which is great for large groups of people. Great atmosphere, the place has really come to life since reopening, would definitely recommend!

The refurbishment of the premises is A1. It is so well presented, staff very polite and friendly, food was delicious if possibly a bit pricey. An upmarket look and very much a place I will return to, especially as it's a 5 min walk from home 🤣

By chance I discovered the Metropole for my latest Saturday / Sunday breakfast treat. Pretty standard breakfast menu so I went with my usual Eggs Benedict (with Salmon) and wasn't disappointed. Price was reasonable, food was delicious and plentiful, all with a great view of the harbour when sitting outside. At 10am, the venue was quiet, service was prompt and I managed to get a car park just outside. The amenities were clean. I'll be back to check out their lunches but for now, the Metropole is my new 'go-to' place for my occasional week-end breakfast treat!!

Thanks for an awesome night on Friday! We celebrated my brother's 60th birthday and it was such a great night. Catherine the Functions Manager was amazing to deal with and she served us all so well.

Whenever i see the word 'Studio' in a room description, I get a bit nervous. I've stayed in some studio rooms no bigger than a dog kennel. No need to worry about that here though. The room was a good size (pretty big for a 'studio'), and even had a balcony. But most impressive was the amount of amenities they've put in there. 2 burenr stove, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, full sized fridge. And yet none of it got in the way or made the room feel too small! Location on Palmer St is excellent, with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Not too far from the new stadium either. Would definitely stay here again

Cheap and delicious meals. Had the same meal 2 nights in a row because it was that good. Drinks are very reasonably priced also. Nice clean premises. Literally 10 meters from the Oaks Hotel behind it. Convenient if you are staying there.

Great cosy casual pub, friendly staff. We had breakfast & dinner here. Excellent food, well presented & great tasting. Beer & wine great 2.

Cheapest happy hour in town! $4 schooners, we loved sitting around the bar enjoying the afternoon sun. Good options for dinner and the dining area was popular.

Great food and atmosphere. Staff are friendly and the Chef is well travelled and experienced.

Some of the best salt and pepper calamari I have ever eaten. Staff were lovely. Nice atmosphere.

A local watering hole with a local feel, the food, service is great. Not crowded, so pleanty of seats and warm environment.
