Old Jetty (Remains)

Amazing place to watch the sunrise and start the day! It's far enough away from the main city that you mostly just get locals here so it has a great community vibe with people casting lines from the beach! It's a very quiet beach so it's a great place to just unwind even just for an hour. You also get to see the Castle Hill glisten and sparkle with the reflection of the sunrays from the hillside houses, which is a great sight to see! I've been heading here for the past decade and will continue to be part of my routine in years to come! Cannot recommend the sunrise views enough!

hier war ich auch einmal und es war super toll. Bin mit dem Bus hoch nach Pallarenda gefahren und dann am Strand entlang zurück nach Townsville gelaufen.
Pallarenda ist ein kleiner netter Vorort und der lange Sandstrand ist einen Besuch definitiv wert. Gibt hier schöne Sonnenaufgänge und viel los ist hier auch nicht. Hier kann man ganz entspannt mal am Strand sitzen und spazieren gehen. Der Strand ist wie überall sehr sauber und auch sicher. Allerdings ist der Strand unbewacht, deshalb sollte man hier nicht unbedingt als Tourist ins Wasser gehen, vor allem nicht in der Quallenzeit. Bis zu den Waden ins Wasser gehen ist ok aber wer nicht lebensmüde ist, sollte nicht weiter ins Wasser gehen oder gar darinnen baden im Sommer.

this is a nice old jetty that remains. i feel safe and warm just knowing it's there.
