Red Lotus Korean BBQ Surry Hills

Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. The quality of authentic food was superb, fresh, piquant and ever so delicious. The service was magnificent also, staff were so attentive and helpful and the owner and his wife were such incredibly beautiful hosts which made us feel so welcome to their restaurant. I've eaten many a Korean meal, even one cooked by a Korean Lady who made me a meal in her home in Kyoto...now that's another story, but this blows that meal out of the water! Go..get yourselves there...guaranteed you would not be disappointed or hungry afterwards. We ordered seaweed and noodle spring rolls, squid bulgogi, seafood pancake and vegetarian japchae.

authentic korean food restaurant, the serving size including even the complimentary side dishes (banchan) is so generous. The owners and staffs are the nicest ppl I ever met in Sydney and they're so professional. Just perfect! I will definitely come back!

One of my go-to delivery food whenever i got no time to cook. Affordable and the food always taste amazing. Cravings satisfied always for some korean food. They will also provide some side dishes as well. Recommended to have it a try to yourself

Very fair price, good value and nice food quality! The portion of every meal quiet fair enough. We only order 4 courses, but we’re so full in the end. The customer service is good as well. Really recommend for every day lunch or dinner choice. We would like to try the BBQ next time or come for other meal next time.

We had a lovely dinner at red lotus. It’s literally the Korean destination hotspot with the restaurant full of tour groups who literally arrived from overseas which gives it an electric feel. The food was delicious and service is via QR code from the table

🍲The dolsot bimbimbap ($19) was generously sized, with ample beef, fresh veggies, and egg on top.

🥘 The seafood (mainly squid, I think it was $20) pancake was delicious, but the stand out for me is definitely the bimbimbap for flavour, interesting textures, and fantastic as a winter warmer!

🍗 Half portion of original Korean fried chicken ($20), super crunchy, good cuts of boneless chicken, crumbing could have more flavour but that's personal preference - Would get it again but ask for some salt and pepper on the side, or kewpie/gochujang to go with

Side dishes were plentiful, I counted around 5-6, including: kimchi (I add these to my dolsot for extra kick), pickled seaweed with apples, pickled daikon, shredded egg, pasta apple salad. Sometimes, they have marinated potatoes, which are scrumptious!🤤

The lovely man who runs the shop was so kind and gave us a flask of Japanese tea on the house, after I asked for a glass of warm water on this cold day. Thank you! 매우 감사합니다! 곧 다시 보자 😁🙏🏼

My wife and I had a great evening dining at Red Lotus. The inviting ambiance, delicious food, and attentive service made it an exceptional dining experience. We'll definitely be returning for more.

Amazing service and delicious food. They even took care of one of our vegan guests with a special bowl of noodles in broth as well as some other vegan dishes.
