I ordered the hock. The potatoes were so flacky . With running egg. Very good. Chill scrambled egg is just fine. Omelette is awful. Overcooked.

Popped in for brunch - lovely staff and coffee fab (although would suggest adding an extra shot if you like it stronger). The lovely waitress suggested the tacos and they were epic 🤤. So tasty and really different flavour combinations. I’ll be back!

We came for breakfast before the weekend markets and had the loveliest breakfast. The chilli eggs were amazing! Coffee was lovely too

Could not believe it was still possible to have two brekkys and ice coffees for $50!
Food and service were amazing for an early Saturday day.

Only thing I could say was that the Brekky burger came with crisps rather than chips and wasn’t my friends favourite. However the eggs Benedict and burger itself were great!

Highly recommend Chalkys with a great selection for breakfast, excellent coffee and some more unusual dishes. My husband enjoyed the pulled pork. Located in an interesting part of town with a view of the round house.

A nice relaxing place to come to eat. The coffee was great. The kids had pancakes and loved them. I had eggs Benedict with their house cured salmon, which was amazing. The fruit juices are very tasty. A great little find in the middle of Freo.

Amazing place for breakfast. Busy on Sunday morning. Had the Nourish Bowl with chicken which filled me up. Well worth going if you want to try somewhere new with great food and coffee

Overall, it's just a pleasant spot to stop in for a bite to eat and a coffee. In fact, I'm going to go as far as this little cafe having the best coffee I've ever had in Australia, and I live here. Furthermore, I've never been a huge fan of bagels, but having one here with cream cheese has put them back in the game. Round House just across the road and working in the logistics industry, freight train just added to the hip Freo vibe. Tucked away this little quaint place, so go searching for it as it's worth it. Staff is cute as, too 😍

GREAT cuppa coffee with good food to match. Chilli scam was eggsellent, The Hock was a bit too rich for my liking and just needed a crack of salt and instead of the potato gratin prob a nice crispy rosti and some more freshness. All in all we had a great breakfast and would recommend it to anyone. Especially for a coffee.

I just had the most amazing big breakfast of my life. The first thing I popped in my mouth was a humble mushroom and the flavour was intense. I knew immediately I was in for a treat. No one puts effort into the mushrooms.. As I sit back stuffed and satisfied, I contemplate how long it needs to be before I can come back and stuff my face again. The flavours linger on my pallet. A satiated grin the only evidence of the gift I just gave myself.

Very delicious I would advise booking as this place gets very busy and I can see why it’s definitely yummy. Inside and outside dining. Easy for wheelchairs. Vegan and vegetarian options. Kids friendly. Lovely staff with assist you in your order. Thank you so much.

Great vegan options! I agree with the person who said that they are the best vegan pancakes they've had. Soooo good!

My partner and I stopped by here for breakfast and it was an amazing stop. I had the tacos and they were out of this world, easily a 10/10. My partner had the hock and he absolutely loved it also (but wished he got my tacos haha). The service was also great. Can’t wait to go back for those tacos!

Great cafe in a really nice spot just near the roundhouse. The coffee was great and breakfast was delicious.

Thick cut bacon was awesome and the whole dish was really well put together.

My girlfriend had truffled eggs and they were also delicious. Just the right amount of truffle and they’re definitely not holding back with it.

Very good value too. We went quite early and it was quiet, but it does get very busy later in the morning.

Thoroughly recommended.
