Sesame's On The Lake

Great place for such an exploration of Thai and Cambodian flavors next to the lake. Kids meals were simple and on point with fish and chips and chicken sewers. The yellow curry was creamy and a delight to match with fluffy rice. Twice cooked duck was tender and tasty. The chilly prawns was served generously with strong sambal sauce. The service and quick and the staff were such professionals. A very delightful experience on the coast. Will look forward to the next visit.

Sesame never fails to deliver delicious fresh Asian food. Personal favourites are curry puffs and satay sticks. Last night we had $46 banquet and it was delicious with plenty of food. Only suggestion is that there could have been a beef satay as main as entree already had chicken satay included.

This is truly a wonderful experience the food and service are impeccable. The meals were amazing, it is licensed and byo which makes it an affordable option. The restaurant exudes a beautiful ambience! And I fully appreciate the beautiful toilet where just as much care has gone into the decor as the main room . The owner and staff were amazing, definitely going to be a place I will be visiting more regularly.

We were blessed to be the first to try the new dish on the menu "sizzling seafood", flavours were perfect with a generous amount of seafood.

Staff were beautiful, fast, professional service.

Really tasty chilli cashew veges and very generous serving of rice for $3. Many Vegan options and food is fresh.

Fabulous food, super service, lovely location! Highly recommend a visit to Sesame's on the Lake. We live 4 hours away and when we get a chance to visit Lake Macquarie area we never miss out on a meal here, sensational!

We had my Fathers 70th Bday here last night! Food and service were incredible. Super tasty and hosts were very accommodating. Lovely local gem!

Had dinner here yesterday. The entrees were flavourful and the mains delicious. I liked the house red wine too. The Cambodian dishes brought back memories of my numerous trips to Kampuchea.

Finally!!!! A hidden gem with sophistication, class , flavoursome delicate Asian food inspired menu that delivers more than expected. Homemade, fresh, good quality authentic fusion Asian food at very very reasonable prices for the professional and friendly service Beautiful in good taste Decor and ambience instantly transforms you to Asia and the atmosphere is quiet, relaxed , comfortable , welcoming and CLEAN! Excellent short menu executed originally and cooked and presented perfectly. Very refreshing and exciting. We have been visiting the Lake for almost 30 years and have resorted to catering for ourselves due to the disappointment of restaurant after restaurant in the area (yes and even those that claim to be fine dining and have award winning chefs!) due to lack of professionalism , presentation, quality or price. And sometimes you want more than just pub , club or counter food which are abundant in this area . The only thing (and not fair to say as they were perfectly homemade! ) was would of loved more Asian style dessert options. (Banana pancake roti would have been a great treat) . However it is understandable as Asian desserts can be an acquired taste. All in all we were very excited to find this little hidden gem and will be back . Don’t expect your local Thai restaurant menu type food!! It’s more than that! Well done owners for your achievements and thank you for your hard work.

Dude makes a mean Margarita and VERY impressed by fresh made desserts on a Sunday night, incl. the sticky date pudding. Inspirational.
