Pelican Rocks Seafood Restaurant & Cafe

This was simply the best find, the winner of the best fish and chips in 2019 and 2022. The grilled black fish was perfect with beer battered fries, calamari, and a salad. We also had a big breakfast to complement it, and that was amazing, too. The staff were so welcoming and even wrote a list of the beaches to visit. A+ experience. Thank you.

The food was amazing. The staff was very accomodating and offered substitution for the seafood baskets. Not like some places who doesn't offer substitutions. They deserve the awards and the food was worth every penny. Surely will go back.

This is the best fish and chips on the south coast. As all the other reviews say - the fish is fresh and perfectly cooked. The milkshakes arent bad either. Great service too.. so make sure you book.

What can I say about this place! The best seafood ever! Everything was sooo fresh and honestly can’t even explain how good this food was. To top it off the customer service was amazing. The staff were truly so kind and caring. If ever in doubt definitely worth the drive from anywhere to come eat here. Loved every bit of it.

Always such a great experience when I eat here. The chips are top notch compared to other fish and chip places around the area. Hot, crispy and well seasoned like they should be. Owners are lovely, and service is always great. Even in the holiday season when it’s super busy, they just give you a heads up if there’s a bit of a wait, which is absolutely no problem in my eyes when it’s good food!

Great service the second you walk in the door. Went with the seafood basket, $30, thought was a bit pricey, but no. Beautiful grilled fillet of fish, with a honey soy mustard sauce, 5 fresh prawns, tassie scallop, prawn skewer, 5 big fresh crumbed calamari , fresh oyster, nice chips, with green salad and coleslaw. Well worth the money. Best seafood I've eaten in a very long time. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back.

Fantastic service and lunch today at Pelican Rocks Cafe. They were extremely busy but greeted immediately by the friendly owner and seated in no time. 2 of us had the seafood basket and my sister had the prawn and scallop skewers. The chips were delicious and crunchy, the salad fresh and nicely dressed and the seafood amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Thank you

Yup, this is it. Definitely the BEST Seafood basket I have ever had. This place lives up to its reputation and awards they have received.

Can not fault this little gem, we travelled 2.5hrs to try the award winning fish and chips and it was worth the drive.

The customer service was exceptional as was the food. We ordered a seafood basket and calamari fish & pack, we took it across the road where is are lots of seating options and an amazing playground.

The food was cooked to perfection! The batter on the dish was light and delicious, the calamari was really good too! Everything was so fresh!

Well done and keep up the fabulous flavoursome food you’re making. We will be back for sure!

Had a lovely lunch on a Sunday, we booked as it gets really busy. The staff were very friendly and efficient, our food was fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend going there for a nice meal.

Fantastic fresh and tasty seafood. We had the calamari, local flathead and a few other fish varieties and it was all cooked perfectly. And on a super busy Sunday with a packed restaurant all service was done with a smile.

When we're on the South Coast we usually visit Pelican Rocks. The seafood is always beautifully presented, tastes fresh and the portions are massive. The ambience is bustling and friendly - you'll find patrons in board shorts next to more dressed up folk, all happily coexisting. The quality coffee was a nice surprise too. Pelican Rocks will continue to be a staple for my family!

Reasonable price. Good quality and generous portion size. Staff friendly. Efficient services delivered. The calamari rings were perfectly cooked. Lightly battered. Less oily. Healthier. Oysters were fresh and tasty. Iced coffee was excellent. The guest toilet was wheelchair friendly. Very thoughtful.

We had a delicious lunch here - the food is fresh, fabulous and great value - but it's the service that really stands out, everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We loved that there were a couple of dog friendly areas for dining both outside and covered. This place is extremely popular so highly recommend booking to avoid disappointment. The seafood basket is not to be missed!
