This was our first time visiting the Hunter valley with our dog. The building was very charming and pet friendly, and not far from the main winery area. The staff and owner families are very accommodating and we had a relaxed time in our room and the common area, drinking wine and playing board games, we really had a great time. Breakfast was also excellent, it was served at the cafe across the main street with amazing coffee (we bought some coffee beans too!). Thank you very much. We definitely will be back.

I booked 3 nights at the Table Guesthouse over my wedding weekend and stayed here with my bridal party. Jo was so friendly and accommodating; no request was too much.
The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely to have in the courtyard.
I also brought my dog who had a fantastic weekend too, playing with Harvey.
We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back soon.

We booked The table guesthouse for a weekend getaway whilst attending a wedding in the hunter valley.
A beautiful homely atmosphere with an open fire, a lovely host and outstanding food.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already wondering when we can return! Next time we will definitely book the degustation dinner option as Jo's cooking is incredible!
Thank you

Me and my partner stayed here for a night when visiting the wineries of Hunter Valley.

The place has only three rooms, so it was calm and quiet. The room itself and the garden were lovely and Jo is an incredible host. She served a well cooked breakfast including fresh baked bread and made the best flat whites I've had since I arrived in Australia 6 weeks ago.

It is a dog friendly place so be prepared that you may meet a new four legged friend if you stay for several nights.

We had the most wonderful time with our dog Shady at Jo's guesthouse. Jo's an amazing host, very attentive, considerate and caring. We stayed for 3 nights and breakfasts were different every day; all delicious and freshly cooked. We highly recommend that you have dinner at Jo's place too, the flavours, ingredients, plating etc. are of fine dining standards but in the comfort of the guesthouse. We appreciate every cup of tea you've brewed for us and chopping up our Watermelon Jo! The room was very comfy and clean. It got quite humid and hot when we were there but the air con blew them all away! Can't wait to visit again. Thank you Jo.

Thank you Jo for having us (again)!!! I struggle putting into words how amazing the Table Guesthouse is, which is why it’s taken me so long to write a review (we just got back from our 7th (?!) stay). This is a hidden gem in Hunter Valley that feels like home away from home. Jo’s food is mind blowing each time! And our dog Atlas loves playing with Harvey while we have a glass of wine by the fire or on the terrace when the sun is out. If you are looking for an incredible stay in Hunter and Jo’s calendar is open, book it!

Stayed at The Tableguest House over Easter with family + our dog and cat. Jo was an amazing host and made the whole gang feel welcome. Our dog played with Harvey and really enjoyed the courtyard and all the treats she received. The rooms are impeccable, cosy, and needless to say wonderfully decorated with so much love and thought. Jo’s cooking was equally beautiful, high recommended and would definitely return! Thank you Jo!

It’s been a while since I last stayed here and whilst it was under the previous owner I only stayed once.
However, under the new owner Jo, the Table Guesthouse has got its Mojo back! The gardens are looking beautiful, the food is amazing, and portions are generous, the rooms are super comfortable and one of the best mattresses I can remember sleeping on. Jo is a wonderful host, caring, with great attention to detail whilst never imposing – she is the new soul of The Table.
This has been one of my favourite places in the Hunter and with the new owner, my new go-to place. Thank you for a welcoming stay, Jo.

If a rustic French decor, beautiful food and a relaxed atmosphere is what you are after when exploring the delights of the Hunter Valley, this is it. You'll love the warm 3-course breakfast and for a real treat, ask Jo to cook dinner for you. It's the closest you'll get to having a personal chef without having a personal chef. You tell her what you like and she'll create an amazing meal just for you. You can BYO, but the fact that she manages the exclusive BonVilla estate vinyard is an added bonus - a wonderful experience all round. We've stayed with Jo twice and will certainly come again.

Jo Minett with her pup Harvey, are the hosts with an extraordinary level of “most”. Our stay was short but sweet however every detail was thoughtfully integrated to design a wholesome experience. We love that the whole setting is intimate and so personalised. Jo does a phenomenal job of setting the scene, from atmosphere through to guest interaction. Beautiful conversation. As soon as you walk through the front door, there’s a quaint and very charming French country style, and Jo and Harvey’s hospitality just made us feel like we were staying with friends. This place is extra special if you’re bringing your fur baby. We fell in love with Harvey, the resident pup. The property is totally fenced, and this being the first time we had taken our dog Chewy on vacation, we felt absolute security and peace of mind whilst enjoying watching Chewy have so much fun, exploring and playing off-leash with Harvey - they got along beautifully. We have no doubt Harvey would and can get along with any fur guest that comes to stay and he had encouraged Chewy to play and explore, watch for lizards and frogs 😍
The rooms are simple yet lovely accents of country detail from the decore to the little added personalised touches and importantly clean and fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. With the downstairs wood fire ducted to the guest rooms we sleep like babies! It was one of the most restful stays I had experienced. It’s was such a cozy night sleep I forgot where I was when I woke. The included 3 course breakfast rivals any 5 star resort breakfast a la carte menu - so tasty! The big MUST is the 3 course dinner. Definitely book this in you are in for a gastronomical treat! Always great to enjoy a curated meal by a seasoned chef. Everything was delectable, from beautiful fresh local produce, home grown veggies and herbs, just the hours and hours of preparation and detail to what may seemingly look like a simple dish, your taste buds will wonder if Jo is a Michelin star chef!! Did I mention the menu is curated every evening? This makes every experience a unique one for your taste buds. We can’t wait for our next stay! And Cheey can’t wait to catch up again with Harvey!

We chose Table guesthouse because it was dog friendly and nearby for the activities we were travelling for; however, having stayed two nights, I would thoroughly recommend the stay for the wonderful food and warm hospitality we received.
Jo is a wonderful host and the atmosphere of the place is restful and full of fine taste & beauty.
We will certainly be staying there again.

Jo and the Table Guesthouse blew me and my friends away with the hospitality, quality of food and location. More than anything we felt so welcome and had so much fun and that really came down to the quality of host.

Id recommend to anyone that has a Hunter Valley stay coming up in the future.

I had the most amazing weekend here with friends and our little pooch.

Normally we struggle to find class, comfort and dog friendly places and on top of that we also found the best host, Jo.

Jo is personable, extremely helpful providing lots of recommendations and doing everything possible to make our trip nothing shy of perfect. Her cooking was so tasty and beautifully presented. The rooms were stunning and I had the best nights sleep in the linen beds, waking up to the French pressed coffee provided

Can’t wait to come back and to bring my family here.. Thank you so much!

This was the best guesthouse experience we’ve ever had. Jo is an amazing cook (used to own high class restaurant) and goes out of her way to always make sure there’s something special on your plate (it’s like having your own personal Michelin Star chief). The place is also ‘real’ dog friendly (our pomapoo quickly made a new best friend with Harvey, Jo’s Jack Russel). The place is rustic and comfortable, great indoor and outdoor settings, and close enough (like 20 mins) to everywhere we wanted to visit. Jo also helped set up activities like wine tour and horse riding with her local contacts. So all in all a wonderful and revitalizing “don’t worry able anything” stay! Thanks Jo, we’ll definitely be back soon!!!

Cozy place that is dog friendly in the Hunter.
Very nice sitting in front of the fire place after a long day tasting wines with your pup at your feet.
Food is great. Clear winner is the French onion soup.
Thanks Jo for the hospitality!

In the Hunter Valley region with a selection of Winery’s within 20-30mins drive. We loved the Tranquil Vale for tastings and also recommend.

As for The Table Guesthouse…
Imagine a boutique hotel crossed with AirBnB and your super host is a passionate, professional, personal chef, but also feels like family.

Jo was so accommodating and had so much flexibility with check in and out, (as it was our wedding anniversary whereby we didn’t have the kids with us). Jo was also eternally optimistic with trying to give us the outdoor experience we asked for in the beautiful, cute, romantic courtyard but with the weather being on and off rain we had to come inside to the candle lit euro style restaurant setting that Jo also prepared for us.

The whole place transports you from a suburban area to a Tuscan holiday house. The seating area and bedrooms with ensuites are so cozy and quaint and the toiletries, candles, towels, bed linen are all delightful and high end premium.

Now for the food. 🤤🤤🤤 The three course dinner is a reflection of Jo’s clear passion for food and service. I don’t think you’ll find this level of dining in many places around this area. I believe the meals will likely vary depending on the season and what Jo has on the menu but I have no doubt whatever she serves will be splendid. Also felt very spoiled with the included breakfast which was also three courses. It’s actually hard to decide if this place is a high end restaurant or hotel accommodation, I guess it’s both.

We highly recommend and will return the in future. Thanks again Jo for making our anniversary special, relaxed and so accommodating.

From the moment we checked into the accommodation the host Jo, provided a homely comfort feeling!
The place felt like a bit of Tuscany in the hunter region!
Rooms were rustic and comfy! Warm throughout the night even though we left windows opened. Beds was comfy, and shower has good pressure!
1st night dinner was remarkable, and the 2nd night dinner was beyond my expectations!
1st & 2nd morning breakfast came with fresh hot breakfast with sweet delicious crapes to finish out pallets afterwards!
The host Jo was a delightful and friendly where we got along like good friends!
My fur baby Alfie made a new friend with Harvey Jo’s fur baby. Alfie is currently mopping in his bed currently missing his best friend!
Great location, close to park and convenient stores, and not far from the hunter valley!
This is the ultimate guest house I ever stayed in, better than most accommodations such as hotels in the hunter valley!
We will be back!!
