Branxton Fish & Chippery

Wow! It has been many years since either my wife or myself have had an Aussie burger and this amazing find is a spectacular example of the Aussie iconic burger!

I was craving an Aussie burger and we had a very hard time finding the corner shop experience we were looking for. As we drove through Branxton we happened upon the Branxton Fish & Chippery. The parking was easy and the service was delivered with a cheerful nature. The lovely lady was accommodating and the meal was delivered in a very short time.

BUTCHER PAPER!!! The chips were wrapped in butcher paper!!! I almost cried. This wasn’t the typical ripoff chip delivery either, this was a shareable amount of chips that were perfectly crisp and yet still tender on the inside.

The burger (we shared) was flavourful and juicy with all of the trimmings. Tasty and perfect!

With a chocolate milkshake as an accompaniment, the Aussie lunch was an event worth sharing on Google. I’ve missed this type of high quality Aussie tucker and I am thankful that we could stop at Branxton Fish & Chippery!

Man, this place @#$* all over Macca's. Their chips are amazingly good. I love the schnitzel works burger, I have to save half for later. The staff are so sweet and friendly ❤

Always superb, works burger to die for.

Not an eye catcher, needs a little TLC on kerb appeal. That said excellent burgers (if you like the "old style" outstanding chips, and excellent service. Very good value for money. Try a double patty works burger Woohoo

I had a piece of fish and some chips and they were excellent.

Also tried the bread and that was also good.

Unfortunately the flavoured milk in the fridge at the time was 5 days past the used by dates.

But I also noticed something similar with another store aswell so maybe due to shortage on supplies.

In terms as being a fast food / fish n chip Takeaway shop I would highly recommend.

We've been camping in Branxton for a little over a week, and discovered this gem during our stay. My family and I have ordered a variety of meals during our stay, and all have been delicious. The fish has been perfect (far better than I've come to expect from the Hunter), the chips cooked and salted nicely, and even my partner's wacky ordering tastes have been catered for. Also milkshakes and sweet potato/pumpkin scallops are a thing here!

First time here, really quick and friendly service. Food is absolutely delicious. Great selection of menu items. Prices are very reasonable. Was my first visit and won't be my last. Great place.

Classic Australian fish and chip shop. Fantastic prices especially on their deals. The deal for a piece of battered fish and chips alone was amazing and was roughly a $3-$4 saving on what most fish and chipperies ask for. Chips weren't over cooked and tasted spot on. Fish was massive, cooked just right, not too soggy, not too dry, a fine art these days. Works burger was par for the course but still fantastic especially if ordered in the deal with chips and a drink.

I only had one minor gripe with the food- not enough salt. After coming back in and asking if I could get some sachets of salt, one of the staff let me take the kitchen salt shaker outside to my car to salt the chips. Not many chip places would let you do that I think, and for that and how genuine the staff seem I think this take away deserves 5 stars. Well done!

This is a great local fish and chip shop that also has great prices. 2x fish, a couple potato cakes, dim sims and chips is $20ish, and we never eat it all!
Even when the store is busy the food is prepared quickly, and I'm always served with a smile.
There is plenty of easy parking on the main street through Branxton.

Do try if you like burgers.Loved their seafood and their special deals.fish and chips were amazing whenever i need something in a hurry we rush here for a meal They have also Burgers Hot Dogs Sandwiches and Chicken . This time we go for Fried & Crispy Spicy Fish . It was really wonderful, very fresh hot and tender. We all liked it a-lot.

Great price, quick to make your order, good staff. One of the old fashioned fish shops that work on cheap food and lots of customers. Will definitely go again if in town.

Great prices! Had fish cocktails, potato scallops, calamari and chicken schnitzel & chips. All freshly cooked and tasted great.

I had a good old fashion Burger with the works and scallop . It beautiful, best I’ve had in a very long time . Will be back
