Diamond Waters Treehouse Retreat

Me and my wife were there for 3 nights. It was one of our best trip. Tree house was nice and clean.I would like to thank to Peter and Kerry for being wonderful host and fantastic morning coffee. We will definitely visit again in future.

We stayed at the Diamond Waters Treehouse retreat over the Christmas period last year and highly rate the experience.

The treehouses are beautiful and well appointed and the privacy and sense of being amongst nature was relaxing. The regeneration of the space is beautiful, and the grounds have a diverse range of both plants and animals (especially nocturnal ones, we spotted both possums and bandicoots during our stay). The walk down to, and our afternoon spent in the bird hide was a highlight and the ability to cross and explore the wetlands on the elevated walkway was amazing.

We would definitely recommend a stay here and can’t wait to return.

This treehouse is a little paradise. It is beautifully situated on large property close to the river overlooking lush forest.
It is well equiped and has a homely but very luxurious feel to it. Decorated with natural materials, flowers and herbs to make you feel at home.
Peter and Kerry are fantastic hosts and give nice tips for restaurants, walks and other things to do.
I hope to come here again!

A very special location for those who love nature and peace and quiet. It is paradise. The owners, Peter and Kerry Johnson are fabulous. We return every year and are never disappointed.

The perfect stay, my wife and I have no other words to describe this magical place.

The treehouses are luxurious and are immersed in nature, we awoke to the sounds of nothing but birds and enjoyed our meals with lovely views from the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed and more.

Peter and Kerry are amazing hosts and went above and beyond with making us feel welcome and helping us with whatever we needed. Peter kindly made coffees for us to enjoy in the mornings as we chatted and explored the gardens.

I was so lucky to coordinate a wedding at Kerry and Pete's incredibly tranquil, breathtakingly beautiful Treehouse Retreat. The wedding went off without a hitch because of their ongoing support, guidance and assistance from the lead up to the day of the wedding. They are clearly so passionate, dedicated and love what they do and can provide for couples on their special day. I am so looking forward to many more weddings at Treehouse.

What a beautiful place.
Owners gave us a full tour and history of place which is fascinating and their passion just shone for preserving such an important eco space. Over 200 species of birds, rejuvenated the mangroves, promotes and supports for flora and fauna. The list goes on. A unique, truly peaceful place to get away from life.

We have had the most amazing stay at Kerry and Peter‘s little slice of paradise! From the warm welcome showing us around the house and the property over relaxing coffee in the morning with chats about the local wildlife and the best tips about what to do during the day to everything you could possibly want in a cozy accommodation including a barbecue on the deck, everything was perfect!
If we ever are so lucky to get back to Australia we would definitely stay here again!

We have returned multiple times to these unique tree houses. Kerry and Peter are outstanding hosts. One feels the sense of rejuvenating & regeneration wandering around the property. It’s so lovely to wake up to the cacophony of birds & to sit by the fire listening to the possums scrabbling around in the overhead canopy.

Our group had the perfect stay at this unique tranquil eco retreat and would highly recommend staying here! Literally set amongst the trees and in a beautiful lush forest setting the owners Pete & Kerry have put a huge amount of effort into regenerating the natural environment and creating a serene natural experience! They also treated us to delicious coffee in the morning and go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Can't wait to go back!

Highly recommend the Treehouse Retreat. Set in the most beautiful tropical paradise gardens with a wetland walk down to the river where you can watch the stunning sunsets. The Treehouses are beautifully furnished and so comfortable. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Wet room with luxury shower products, complemented with fresh herbs and flowers. The hosts are so welcoming and their local recommendations were excellent. The local kangaroos even wandered through the garden below while we had breakfast on the deck. We will definitely stay again.

There are so many reasons to choose the Treehouse retreat for your stay in the area. We chose it because it looked unique and it was unique in the best way. The property is a rainforest with beautiful fauna. It’s located on the river and a short walk from a beautiful uninhabited beach on the ocean. The actual unit was modern, spacious, clean and very comfortable with a great bed. Our hosts were wonderful and treated us like honored guests and family at the same time. They live on the property but in a separate dwelling 100m away. There is an outdoor private coffee bar where Pete does his magic with coffee perfection. We will be back some day but it may be a while since we live in the US. You will not regret staying at this little slice of heaven.

This was one of the best experiences on our three week trip through Eastern Australia. The friendly caring owners alone make it worth the trip, you instantly feel at home. The owner took us fishing with our kids (a first for them), they still talk about it four years later. Also the treehouses are exceptional both in style and quality. If I would live less then 24 hours flight time away, I would definitively return.

We had the most beautiful stay at the Diamond Waters Treehouses. Peter and Kerry were wonderful hosts. Our treehouse was very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and a beautiful view over the lush property. Truly paradise!! Can’t wait to return.

This place is a hidden treasure. What a nice experience a luxury treehouse. 10 min away from the beach, but sleep in the forest👌 We had a great day : Diamond head loopwalk, Koala Hospital in Port Macquire, summit North Brother top view of the lakes. We had great experience in restaurant Deliozo an Blu Buffalo Vietnamese.

Pete was so accommodating and took our bags to the room and went above and beyond to make sure we were settled in nicely and made us a coffee each morning while we chatted and enjoyed the garden. The Treehouse was absolutely magical, being completely in nature was definitely a soul recharge and we instantly felt relaxed as soon as we arrived.
The rooms are immaculate, clean, cosy and breathtaking with the views and being up in the trees.
I have come away floating and feel like I've truly recharged myself and can't wait to go back again.
A must stay on the Mid North Coast, it is a very special place which ticks all the boxes.

We had an absolute blast during our stay at the Treehouse retreat. The property itself is a gem. Everything is very stylish and modern, fireplace and spacious verandah are huge bonuses. We loved to hang out on verandah listening to the nature and birds singing. If you're after a relaxing stay to reset your mind and body, this place is a must visit.
We also can't thank enough the amazing hosts - Peter and Kerry. Peter helped us make our stay so memorable. Thanks to his advice, we tried best oysters in town, made a walk that we considered the best we ever had - Diamond Head Loop walk is incredible! the views are to die for - and learned so much about the area and wildlife over a cup of coffee that Peter makes personally each morning for all his guests. The hospitality and attention to details is outstanding.

Relaxation,rejuvenation, peace and tranquillity. Beautiful little piece of paradise hide in the bush surrounded by butterflies, birds and trees. This is just a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. It felt like we are in a rainforest with beautiful fauna located on a river bank. The Treehouse is short drive from beautiful beaches. Our kids enjoyed so much going to the wetlands and watching crabs and fish. Thank you Kerry and Peter, we loved every bit of our stay… Highly recommend.

The energy put into this lovely retreat is a labour of love.
Everything has been thought of. From utilising the location to best facilitate a peaceful and private getaway. To ensuring that by doing so not only allows the guest to enjoy nature, but can envelope themselves in the tranquillity knowing that the land itself has been respected and flourishes because of it!
This is what a getaway is about.
We only live 40 minutes away, but it could have been 40 hours.
We can't wait to experience the treehouse again, in a different season and enjoy what it offers.
