We had an excellent afternoon experience the early modern train locomotives from steam to the modern day in the largest and oldest roundhouse with huge turntable in the Southern Hemisphere.
The mini model train run was outstanding!
Loved the place.

Absolutely must see if you visit Junee and have any interest in trains. View the model train set, then go inside the roundhouse and get to walk through train history that's very well cared for by the Fantastic helpful volunteers who are so knowledgeable. My kids and teenager really enjoyed their visit.

It's an outstanding piece of the local history encapsulated in a round facility building. Can you believe that once this place was full of energy, steam and people? It's a "must see" place for everyone interested in railways and trains.

A small museum housed in the old railway buildings, the highlight is the roundhouse with the preserved trains and carriages. Dog friendly.

Fantastic. I am not a locomotive enthusiast but found the experience to be nice. Showcases the towns central history.

The tour guide and ticket person were a very wonderful old couple. A real wealth of knowledge that kept us non enthusiasts entertained. There is a working model train set up and a bunch of historic photos in the main area. Out in the round house they have locomotives and carriages to explore.

Very cheap entertainmemt and a nice look in to the history of the town and surrounding rail network.

A must see for all railway enthusiasts. There's a model railway that visitors can operate. The steam crane is impressive. Many locomotives and rolling stock that can be entered.

A must see museum when I'm Junee! A very impressive display of old rolling stock! You can climb up and explore old carriages too and imagine yourself travelling with while sitting down in an old first class carriage! You will spend hours here! $6 entry fee is very reasonable!

Great static display and very knowledgeable volunteers. Half the roundhouse is museum and the other half operational, if you're lucky you will see the turntable operate, great to witness.
