What an awesome experience. If you haven't been here, you should. The presenters were awesome people and the house is amazing to explore. The stories told of its history are wonderful to listen to and I wish it could have been longer... We are planning another trip down that way again soon so we can spend some more time there.

Loved it. What a place and a story. We got to meet Olive and she signed the book my wife bought. We would love to do the full night time guided tours with over night stay that they offer but, unfortunately they are booked out until late May, so if you want to do this book now.
But the homestead and the ground are worth a walk around to take in the story.
Thanks Olive.

Super cool experience! Definitely worth seeing the homestead, even from a historical perspective. We did the night tour, dinner and stay and it was definitely worth it! Would love to go again.

Amazing. Loved the vibe. Loved the energy. Loved chatting to the owners. What a memorable experience. While it may be Australia's most haunted homestead, I felt completely at home playing with the spirits. Saw things move. Saw orbs. Heard voices and my daughter felt her head being touched... maybe it was a spider web. Creepy but fun.

Monte Cristo Homestead is one of Australia's most haunted places, it could use some up-to-date gardening and dusting, you need to take down all the unnecessary things like Halloween decorations and fake antiques. And let certain people in rooms with conditions. Nice people 👍 though this place could be so much more though.

The young lady that does the meet, greet and money taking, is fantastic, will talk and guide you on what to look for is upbeat and certainly knows the history of the place. Worth a visit, steeped in history, and we also took her up on a discountbdeal for the group, so be nice and she may also offer you a deal.

Go see if you can bump into a ghost or 2!

A big thank you to Olive, Lawrence, Sylvia & Sophia for opening your home to us. We were welcomed and entertained from the moment we arrived.
Monte Cristo has been on my bucket list for years and this amazing property didn't disappoint. The home itself has been restored beautifully and the history behind every room is both intriguing and terrifying.
What an amazing night.
I can't wait to visit again!

I took hubby for his birthday and we stayed overnight. Lawrence and Hayley were lovely and the other lady who worked there ( sorry I forget your name).
The food was delicious and the tour was very cool.
This place is definitely haunted, no doubt in my mind!
We will definitely be going back. Thankyou, we loved it!

What a beautiful place, so well kept.
The out buildings show a glimpse of how things were done.
One slight down side were the many modern candelabras with skulls, they looked like cheap plastic. Easy to overlook them while admiring everything else

I really enjoyed taking a look around and learning a bit of local history. The ladies in the front office were lovely. Lots of interesting things to look at and the revamped homestead is spectacular.

Such a wonderful old house with some amazing history. From the founding of Junee township through to servants controversies, the family fighting, the abandonment and decay of the original home to the rebuild and rectification of this historic homestead. Oh and don't forget the deaths of servants, babies, the locking up of a disabled boy, the burning of a child servant and the subsequent haunting by all these tortured souls. Do the tours and stay the night in Australia's most haunted rooms. Just the anticipation al9ne will make your skin crawl not to mention what you will actually experience. Amazing house, beautiful food and such a welcoming family who renovated and grew up in the house to guide you through a wonderful experience

Eerie haunted house experience. The owner of the past fifty years greets you and gives a history. Her husband's ashes are scattered around the property.. We experienced some strange unexplained phenomenon of our own, with flowers in the garden suddenly dropping, moving vases in a bedroom and blue orbs on photos. The attached doll museum is included in the cost of admission and is worth a visit. Spooky. Not something I would do at night.

This is an excellent experience. Lawrence is a passionate story teller so be prepared to be scared out of your skin. I'm in awe of the work the family has done over the years. Highly recommend the overnight experience.

It needs some restoration work as old homes are hungry beasts so there is some work to do and the garden was overgrown and has seen better days but the home and outbuildings were very interesting. They really embrace the whole haunted house element but it was actually more interesting as part of our intriguing 19th century history.
