Wattle Tree Hill

We needed a pit stop for a night on our way home from Sydney to Melbourne. Was really only looking for a bed for the night but our stay was so much more at Wattle Hill. Firstly the view is breathtaking, the self contained unit has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay including for once a very comfortable bed ( not hard as a rock as you find in so many accommodations). What really made our stay so enjoyable was the little luxuries provided, quality towels, bed linen and toiletries provided. I feel in love so much with the shampoo and conditioner provided I jumped online and bought some for home. Highly recommend.

Aah, the tranquility. Jared's 2 beautiful self contained studios have everything you need and lots of stand out touches. The decks have big sky views out over the rolling hills and the sunsets are stunning. The native garden is abuzz with little twitter birds.
A perfect couple's stay and a great place to stay on a Melbourne/Sydney drive.👍

This is like a 5 star hotel room in the form of a cabin in a bush setting. Jarrod's attention to every detail is amazing. The cabin has great views across the valley and is set amongst lots of natives (which the owner planted) which has attracted many small birds.
I will definitely be back.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay driving between Sydney and Melbourne, congratulations, you’ve found it. Wattle Tree Hill is serene and sublime, solid and stylish. I’ve driven this route for many years and stayed at most of the dodgy breeze block highway motels - this place is magic - a destination along the journey.

There are not enough words to give justice to just how perfect this place is. Such heart and soul has been put into creating an earthy, eco friendly and welcoming stay for guests. If you take time to read the guest book it details the project to rejuvenate the land back to its natural state after long time cattle grazing. Just beautiful. Thank you. We will be back again.

This place is lovely!
I’m usually quite picky about interiors and I couldn’t fault this room. Beautiful sheets, polished concrete floors, really nice (but not too gaudy) natural, decorative touches in the room, Dindi soaps and products in the bathroom and the masses of Wattle and bird life around the outside of the cabin is glorious! Highly recommend!
The only thing is no stove, but you don’t really need one for overnight. Xx

My family and I stayed at Wattle Tree Hill for a night on our way back to Sydney. The accomodation is styled beautifully with a great amount of attention to detail having been put into every element across the space. We also found it to be spotless and cleaned to a very high standard. The kitchen was very well equipped with all relevant appliances, cutlery and crockery being provided. There is a deck, that provides a BBQ as well as table and chairs, which overlooks the town and the rolling hills in the distance. It is only a short walk to the main street. To top all of the above, the host is gracious, welcoming and considerate making our stay very special indeed. We plan to return for a longer stay in the future.

I would highly recommend Wattle Tree Hill. Beautiful cabin - lovely views, quality fittings and tastefully decorated. Stands out as one of the cleanest accommodation we've stayed at, with fresh crisp linen and fluffy white towels. Host was very responsive and helpful.

Thanks for a wonderful stay at your beautiful property. Your styling is perfect and you haven't spared any expense on finishes, the travertine bathroom is beautiful. Having a few drinks on the balcony overlooking Gundagai, The Murrumbidgee river and rolling green hills was sensational.
Looking forward to coming back sometime for a longer stay than one night.

We were charmed by this stunning accomodation. Overlooking the hills the studio was cosy, immaculately maintained and a beautiful, luxurious place to stay. There were great facilities to make our own food everything about it was well cared for. Highly recommend!

I have had the pleasure of some very high end 5 star stays around the world and Wattle Tree Hill would stack up against any of them. If there was a 6th star I would have ticked the box! A must experience add to your bucket list!

Absolutely amazing place no expense has been spared. The bathroom is beautiful, bed comfortable and Jared made sure if I needed anything he was only up the road. It was the perfect place for the reset I needed. I will be going back again very soon and will be referring to all my friends

Great spot with great views over the Gundagai countryside. Modern, clean and very well appointed studios and very comfortable. Short 5-10 minute walk into town. I would highly recommend

Visited for one night with my family. This accommodation is right on the top of a hill overlooking the town of Gundagai and the river. We stayed in studio 2 which was clean and furnished with high quality furniture and linen. You can tell a lot of attention to detail has been used in this studio as a lot of natural materials have been used for surfaces and decorations. The studio includes a queen bed, sofa bed, kitchenette and bathroom. Both the queen and sofa bed were soft and lovely to sleep on. We also had ample space to set up a portacot for our little one. There is a lovely verandah out the front set up for two and bbq available as well. I definitely recommend this accommodation for couples or families with 1-2 small children.

Nice and quiet. Tasteful decor and clean.
