AL Amar Lebanese Restaurant

Came at an odd time to eat on a Saturday. The food was so good though. I over-ordered but everything was freshly made. Chips were perfectly crispy. The baba ganoush was better than the hummus which isn't the usual for me. Could always do with more toum. The fattoush had extra crispy fried bread bits complimented the food greatly. Seasoning spot on. Manseh rice was nice and hot, grains were cooked spot on. Kibbeh and falafel were okay, though as it was freshly made it was very crispy on the outside. Would definitely come again and this may be my go-to Lebanese place in Campbelltown.

We were the only ones in the restaurant, they had many uber eats orders but empty restaurant. We didn't have to wait long for food, food was cooked fresh. Everything was delicious, including the dips / sauces. Could do with more bread with the mixed plates but loved everything, esp the fatoush (my fav).
Love that we've found a nice spot in Ctown.

We lived in the middle east. Came here to recall the memories, and were pleasantly surprised with the excellent food. Sarcastically we were the only customers (12pm+ Saturday). Price is reasonable. My husband loves their cucumber pickle very much hence bought another 2 boxes to take away. $6 each which is a little pricey :)

Upon arrival we asked for the test - the friendly lady staff has offered us some free tea , which made us think that we want to sit and check out the menu . We tried mixed platter and we shared between two people , which was substantial for both of us . It was also a good environmental if you want to get off the busy street and just relax in a more peaceful atmosphere . I would recommend this place .

Fantastic meal, much better than el jannah. I had the Al Amar mixed plate, everything was cooked and tasted perfect except for the tawook was a little dry.

Update went again today definitely a 5 stars!

Went for lunch today with some workmate’s to Alamar in Campbelltown.

If you’re a local it’s where the old Cold Rock used to be, in Queen St.

First up impressions were ok interior, seats are sorta comfortable but feels a bit like it lacks the love sorta.

Buuuut the food is delicious, service lovely but you can see they are way understaffed to cope with a half full restaurant.

We ordered the Alamar Special for $25. It was an amazing spread. So it had a Shish tawook, kofte, lamb skewer too plus

Two lamb cutlets, two beautifully cooked prawns.

Hummus, babaganoush, toum, bread, pickles!

Seriously good hopefully they’ll stay because I forgot to say tabbouleh it was fantastic.

Really good mid eastern food! I went at a quiet time in morning, and the lemon- garlic chicken was just great. A flock of cockatoos wanted to try my food real bad but I had to shoo them away..

Never had a bad experience here!
Being Lebanese we have high standards for middle eastern cuisine and this is up there.

Excellent service and extremely tasty food. parking is behind or on Queen Street. We ordered mixed plates and the amount was huge. Price wise it is reasonable. No alcohol is served. We will definitely come back.

Delicious food, amazing staff and atmosphere. Definitely recommended for Arabic cuisine in area.

Beautiful little restaurant... we brought our meal $25 each and it was delicious and quite filling and I'm a big island boy...
Customer service is very friendly and the cook was happy that we enjoyed the food..

As a Turkish couple who have tried Kebab meals in Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney. I would say the best kebab in whole Australia.
Friendly and smiling owners, delicious food range, very affordable meal options and I can say much more positive words. Wish you guys move in Adelaide.
One day we will be back for sure.

Clean and quiet, great service im half lebanese and i have eaten out alot at different places and hands down this is the best lebanese restaurant i have been too its not instagramable but damn the food is absolutely delicious and the people are beautiful so happy i came to eat here, also the tea oh my word im not a tea drinker i drank 2 cups.
