Dr Sean Burnet

Dr Sean is just wonderful. We are so happy with the care we received for the birth of our second child. He is the warmest and friendliest Doctor I have ever met. We never felt rushed at our appointments with him, no questions were ever silly and he really cares about his patients' views and feelings. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for the best obstetrician - and he certainly is the best. A big thank you Dr Sean for making sure our son arrived into the world safe and sound.

Having had both my kids delivered by Dr Burnet, I would not hesitate to highly recommend him for anyone looking for an obstetrician. Throughout our journey, Dr Burnet and his team have been very attentive, personable, caring and knowledgeable. Thank you for always putting our minds at ease and for a wonderful pregnancy experience.

Could not review Dr Burnet any higher. Unfortunately my wife encountered a pregnancy that couldn’t continue at week 11, due to the baby no longer having a heartbeat. The care, compassion and communication from Dr Burnet with my wife has been incredible. It was/is such a horribly difficult situation, Dr Burnet has been in regular contact with my wife and has provided wonderful guidance and support. It has been something that we greatly appreciate.

Just had my second baby under the care of Dr Burnet. I cannot recommend his services enough. Such a caring Obstetrician and I always felt comfortable and cared for.

Dr Burnet and his team are warm, knowledgeable, reassuring professionals who helped me have a happy pregnancy journey, and safe delivery. As a first-time mum, it can be really overwhelming going through all the appointments, scans, questions, preparation, but Sean, Donna and Michelle, were always proactive and helpful in navigating the pregnancy as well as the system, because there's a lot to do when you have a baby! Shion, on reception, was also always very kind and accomodating when organising our appointments. Dr Burnet was fantastic during the delivery; it all happened so fast and he was there very promptly, and gave me lots of guidance and confidence, when frankly I was all out of sorts. Can't thank them enough for looking after me and baby.

Dr Burnet and his team looked after us during our pregnancy and delivery of my two children. He is an amazing doctor and always made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the journey! We have been very lucky to have him as our obstetrician. We are really grateful!

Dr Sean Burnet has supported my husband and I through 3 pregnancies (2 deliveries) over the past few years. Throughout each, Dr Sean has understood our needs and provided an exceptionally personal level of care. He is clear, honest and supportive in his demeanour; and always calm and knowledgeable even in stressful situations. I could wholeheartedly trust him with my and my children's well-being.

His team of midwives and secretaries are absolutely lovely, and very responsive and communicative.

Dr Burnet was recommended to me by another OB so I figured he must be good. He delivered my third baby ( but first baby to be born in Australia), at times I felt like a newbie and he and his staff guided me through the Australian system. Throughout the pregnancy he was very attentive, bedside manner extremely professional and polite. This pregnancy also coincided with my oldest child experiencing medical problems, I was impressed that Dr Burnet reached out to his dr colleagues and did his best to help out in a time of stress for my family. Thanks Dr Burnet, while we won’t be having any more babies, I will be recommending you to my friends!

As new parents-to-be back in 2018, the task of choosing the right obstetrician was quite overwhelming. Dr Sean Burnet was absolutely amazing. His reliability, impeccable organisation, and genuineness instantly put us at ease. Dr. Burnet provided an exceptional level of expertise throughout the prenatal period and following childbirth, ensuring the safe delivery of our baby. His demeanor was consistently calm and professional, prioritising the wellbeing of his patient at all times.

We followed all his recommendations concerning the selection of the hospital and the duration of the hospital stay, a decision we have no regrets about. Furthermore, the quality of postnatal care offered was on par with the prenatal care, which was excellent.

Midwife Donnah proved to be extremely knowledgeable, amiable, and professional. She was responsive to all our inquiries and readily accessible by phone whenever we needed guidance.

Bronte was equally pleasant and accommodating, always managing to schedule our appointments at convenient times.

After reviewing the profiles of various obstetricians on the Mater Hospital website, I chose Dr. Burnet. I strongly recommend him and his team, confident in the peace of mind they provide by ensuring the safety and care of both mother and child during and after pregnancy.

We had a wonderful experience with Dr Burnet and his midwifery team Michelle and Donna to safely deliver our baby boy. My husband and I spent a lot of time in the early days trying to pick the right OB for us. I remember seeing many positive reviews and ultimately we both thought he looked like he had a kindness about him- which in addition to reviews on the internet- is all you can go off at that point of time. Sean was always incredibly professional, polite and answered any question we ever had. We always felt looked after and cared for and we trusted him. He never pressured us into delivering a certain a way and made it very clear he was working with us for our own goals and would often give us studies or research to help us make a decision. We ended up delivering our baby via elective c section and the team on the day were equally as professional. What surprised me the most was the aftercare. Sean visited us twice in hospital and was always available on text /call on his direct line for any more serious questions we had and would respond within a few hours. The wonderful midwife’s Donna and Michelle were great throughout the whole pregnancy and once again their aftercare was unexpected and appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Sean and his team and if we are in Sydney for baby number 2, we know where to go. A shout out to Shion who was a delight.

We came across Dr Burnet late last year when we learnt about our pregnancy. From that very first phone call, we have had such a positive experience! Dr Burnet provided us with the best care we could have asked for. He was informative, practical and supportive of all of decisions. He provided us with peace of mind with his clear knowledge and experience, especially in an area that was so new and foreign to us. I feel so fortunate to have had Dr. Burnet as my Obstetrician. I had a great experience with Dr. Burnet and his entire team during both my pregnancies and he safely delivered my daughter and more recently my son. Dr. Burnet is a highly skilled and knowledgeable obstetrician while also kind and empathetic. His midwives Donna and Amy also offered great support through both my pregnancies and his office staff is lovely and caring. Additionally, I had a c-section and my pain was minimal post surgery and the scar has healed beautifully. My husband and I feel so happy with our choice in Dr. Burnet and cannot recommend him and his team highly enough.

I felt extremely confident and calm being under the care of Dr Burnet throughout my pregnancy. He is extremely insightful, caring and takes the time to explain things clearly. The midwives Donnah and Michelle are fantastic and great to ask questions to as well! My post pregnancy experience has also been great with extra assistance given to me. I look forward to going back to him with our next child!
