I take my hat off to the volunteers who run this very important site, especially Jenny & Debbie. It's housed in one of the old ammunition buildings with each room dedicated to bird life that is spotted in the area. I learned so much about bird life from this visit and I encourage everyone, especially school children and adults to visit. They only open on Sundays for limited hours and it's free to visit.

Absolutely lovely bird tour with Steve! We had an amazing time and learned a lot about the local birds. The discovery centre is run by very dedicated volunteers. We bought some cute pins from the centre. Will be returning!

Being a resident of the suburb we used to just walk around this place but last Sunday we were fortunate to meet Ken and Liz volunteers at the Birdlife who took us around the place and explained in so much detail about the birdlife project and about the white bellied sea eagle nesting in the reserves of Olympic park … a must visit for the kids and the residents of Olympic park

This place is a hidden gem. Visited with young children who the guides were very friendly and helpful with. There are lots of taxidermist birds to see. Highly recommend for a visit if cycling in the area.
