Seriously, beautifully done hotel.
I loved the that they used a lot of recycled materials in the interior space design.

The rooms are cosy and the beds are comfy.
All free snack and mini bar in the room is a huge win.

The gym is relatively small but has all the essentials.

The restaurant and bar are spectacular.
I would definitely stay again when coming to Canberra

I had a fantastic stay at Ovolo, and am now a convert to these hotels! They’re ultra sustainable, with even the walls being made of recycled material. Yet it still feels luxurious. The buffet breakfast and coffee was fantastic. You can tell they actually care about the environment.

Excellent experience throughout our stay. The room was really spacious and pleasant. Staff were extremely helpful and polite.

The complimentary minibar, loot bag, and other gifts were simply great. There were many various types of lighting with dimmer controls, and the electric blinds were really cool.

Overall, one of the best place to stay at. Definitely staying again.

We stayed at their sunlight room because we want a bigger and room with windows. Great value if you booked directly on their website, so many perks. Including breakfast, mini bar, snacks, tote bag, all day sweet bar, free alcoholic drink on social hours.

A very modern brutalist style hotel in the heart of Sydney. They had our room upgraded because our original room was having AC problems. We were transferred to a suite, bigger with bath tub but did not have a view. It's ok coz hotel is just the first 2 floors. Upper floors are apartments.

The vibe is very chill. A really good place to stay and relax.

Best thing about this hotel is that everything in the mini bar is free. 😁

The breakfast buffet was continental. So don't expect much if you're asian and used to heavy rice breakfast meals, like me.

I got engaged here and the staff were so wonderful and accommodating. Some of the best customer service I have ever seen truly enlightening to see a company be so customer forward instead of putting profits first. I couldn't be more thankful to you for making it such a beautiful night. The hotel room was beautiful and eclectic and the atrium room was wonderful and romantic and the whole experience was so organic. Thank you again Ovolo Nishi for a beautiful night.

Ovolo Nishi is up there as one of the best hotels in Canberra. Personally, I have stayed at all the big hotels in Canberra, and this is one of my favourites. There is a decent selection of room styles, all with their own little twist.

It's also nice to have a decent kitchen in the hotel with a bar and a theatre down stairs, perfect for the late night popcorn cravings.

Only downsides to Ovolo Nishi is the location could be better and the parking price is steep when compared to competitors such as the Doma groups Burbury, LN, Kurrajong and so on which offer parking under $20 or even free on weekends.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ovolo Nishi. I had a wonderful view of the Parliament House and Lake Burly Griffin. There is a lovely selection of lollies in the lobby and you get a complementary drink on arrival. The location is very close to the CBD and the touristy spots. Would recommend!

I love staying here when I visit Canberra. I would really love to know what pillows you use in the apartments - they’re so amazing! Like a firmer core (latex?) with a soft outer fill. Never slept on anything so good.

Stayed here for two nights, and was pleasantly surprised to receive a snack pack on arrival and daily stocked mini bar for free.

We were assigned to a lvl 1 floor so it was hard to fall asleep earlier with a young child on a Friday night. If you can for a higher lvl room because the floor is not sound proof. There was a party going on at night at least until 11 pm from memory. Good for people who likes to party and wouldn’t mind the sound.

There are black out blinds so you can surely get a good nights sleep. The lights are also dimmable in the bathroom as it’s the only one where you can’t completely switch off the light. There’s no security door lock from the inside so for the single ladies travel I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Location wise it’s approximately 20 minutes walk to restaurants and shops. Where all the excitement are.

Parking wise you are stuck and need to pay daily rate to Wilson parking but if you were to stay here over the weekend you can walk abit across the bridge to find a free car park after 5:30 pm Friday.

This is our #1 place to stay when in Canberra. The vibes, the service, extras. Very flexible with kids as well or even a couples getaway. Perfect for any kind of stay.

I stayed here for work and it is an excellent hotel. Very funky, unique and absolutely too notch. My room was very tidy and had everything I needed, free mini bar and a snack pack! The shower was amazing, best water pressure ever and the bed was very comfortable, I slept so well. Staff were lovely and it was very quiet. My room was on the ground floor next to the one ramp and I didn’t hear a thing. I also used the gym which was new, clean and very well equipped. Also the hotel is within walking distance to the city and many good restaurants. Also the candy station was a great perk.

Monster Kitchen does room service and the food was excellent and quick. It’s a nice restaurant space to have a glass of wine a well. Would highly recommend!

Chic, boutique hotel in a landmark building. So far removed from often bland hotel offerings, this is a memorable stay. A few minutes walk to Lake Burley Griffin, multiple very hip dining options and a cinema in the complex. They also have their own fleet of eBikes to hire, right in the lobby. Outstanding!

This might be the funkiest hotel I've ever stayed at. It was so fun! The service was amazing, the ambience and the feel was incredible. The rooms were super comfortable and fun. The vibe was perfect. Do not hesitate to book here, you will love it.

We had a really lovely stay. Staff were so kind and friendly. Prosecco on arrival was a nice touch. Loved our room facing the lake and the free minibar/snacks made the experience extra special. Scooters nearby to access the city, and bikes available at the hotel to borrow. Our first Ovolo stay and it for sure won't be the last!

The best hotel I have stayed at. The staff were incredible, especially a lovely lady Korey, who made us feel so welcome and at home. The food was insane, we had to order two servings of breakfast. I would highly recommend this for a lovely stay.

Will definitely stay again!! It's all the small touches that make this hotel unique. I love the room, ours was dark and noisy but with lovely earth accents. The room had plenty of room and very clean with a free mini bar. The staff were very helpful and polite. Location was good could walk easily to town.

We had a wonderful, positive weekend experience following a recent stay at Ovolo Nishi. Some hotels try to overwhelm with an echo-y cathedral-like foyer or hit you with a first-impression kaleidoscope of .... well ..... to put it plainly, stuff. These places leave me cold and miss the mark with what I want from a hotel stay. We thought ON's balance of urban-cool vibes with moody timbers, concrete and retro fittings were both appealing and unfamiliar. Loved the different nooks and crannies that the ground floor offers including a well stocked bar, the Monster restaurant, a library, varying seating options to retreat to, a complimentary happy hour, a massive fireplace and cute touches like help-yourself lollypops and edible teeth sweets.
Kudos to the staff. I'm usually pretty sensitive to employees just going through the motions at major hotels but we found the interactions we had with all OM staff were genuinely friendly, polished and went several steps past above-and-beyond. Special mention to the consistently chipper breakfast crew as well as the kind lass who sorted out a minor issue in our room one evening and then unexpectedly followed up with a complimentary bottle of wine to recognise the inconvenience. Not strictly necessary, but very very welcome!
The complimentary minibar and welcome snack pack in our room kept a smile on our faces, as did the regular happy hour. Nice touches that continued to lift our weekend.
I know many say that they will be back to a hotel when leaving reviews. We say that as well, but add that we now have a natural, automatic choice of accommodation when staying in Canberra.
