Kermandie Hotel

Fantastic venue for food and drinks. Fabulous set up to stay especially in the heritage rooms within the main building. Staff magnificent. Really worth staying at.

The check in at the BAR counter is a breeze with a friendly staff and showed me where the room location, and how to get there. The room is simple but perfectly clean and comfortable with an air-cond/heater. There is also a basic kitchen area. Bed and pillow are comfortable. Nice touch that the check out time is 11am.

The crew at Kermandie accomodated us short notice and the hotel was lovely! Super comfy bed, a basic but good breaky in the morning and yummy dinner in the restaurant/bar.

I had a great lunch here and it was outstanding. There were great vegan options plus other tucker plus they had options of zero alcohol beers. The service was also perfect. They are open 7 days a week. How good is that?

Fabulous experience, great telephone customer service to arrange twin beds , wonderful meal in lounge bar and the most lovely surprise was the quality of the complimentary continental breakfast. We will be back for sure!

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young kids) stayed for 1 night in mid July. Check in was super quick and easy, rooms were clean and had all of the amenities we needed for our family. An added bonus was that the accomodation was a very short walk down to the restaurant and bar so we didnt have to trek far for meals, especially in a small town like Kermandie. The staff were super friendly and considerate and would offer colouring in books during meals and kid friendly breakfast options. Great check in/stop over point on our way to Hartz Mountain.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch at Esperance restaurant at the Kermandie in Port Huon yesterday. It was the first time we have been back since being lucky enough to be invited to 7HOFM's Bunch For Lunch with Sarah, Mick and Johnno during COVID. We wanted to take our friend from Melbourne somewhere nice with a pretty view and a lovely drive to get there. Kermandie has been on the "must take Debbie to" list since COVID but we hadn't had the opportunity until yesterday. What a pleasure it was! So nice also to find a menu with "Classics". The whole lunch was good, simple food done perfectly - much more difficult to pull off than overcomplicated dishes. Everything was delicious, well-presented and perfectly paced for a relaxing meal and we all thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Add to that the excellent and very friendly service provided by Courtney, and Kermandie's Esperance restaurant had us all wanting to return soon. The Kermandie is a great destination for a lovely day out or a weekend away!

I stayed at the Kermandie for a week of a writing retreat. Not only were the staff absolutely professional and helpful - I was very unwell for the first few days from the flu and then flying meant that my ears didn't pop (I'd been unwell for over a week already) and they did everything they possibly could to help me out. Michelle, Kurt, Deb and the team were friendly and really made this a fantastic stay. We'll be coming back for sure and bringing the rest of the family!!

The food was also marvellous and they did amazing work to accommodate not just my dietary requirements, but those of everyone else on the retreat. We had people on the retreat with terrible gluten allergies and the Kermandie did everything they could to create a safe space free from airborne contaminates. Sitting there in the restaurant having a lazy breakfast (potato crumpets are new to the menu and were amazing!) and just looking out at that view is something I could do every day of my life! I loved everything that came out of the kitchen and wish I had met the chef!! I never heard a complaint from anyone about their evening meal and I admit that I had the sticky date pudding several times!

The view from my unit was also fantastic, and just watching the birds kept me amused. There were king parrots (I think!) and willy-wagtails galore and bumblebees! Lots of people saw the platypus in the creek as well.

Always a great place to stay at The Kermandie Hotel, staff are friendly and always a great meal to be had whether it's in the bar or the beautiful restaurant.... we have stayed here many times over the past years and there is always a room available at short notice! The views are amazing overlooking the marina with all the local vessels tied up in their moorings. The food and beverages are awesome!... so next time your on your way down south, make sure you put it on to your ..."must pop on in next time" list of places to see in the Huon Valley!

We stayed 2 nights was very enjoyable close to towns further down.

The food was fresh, tasty and everyone that we interacted with was friendly, and did whatever they could to make our experience exceptional. We had 3 generations of family, with numerous and varying food needs - they made it all work!!! with a smile and everything was delicious. Plus we made mistakes with our bookings and they bent over backwards to take care of
us. A brilliant experience - Thank you.

Great meals! I'm from Cairns and ALL the food here tastes so damn fresh! And I mean all of it, almost cleaned my main plate but needed room for dessert! Lovely atmosphere and great service, will definitely be a usual place to dine.

Very accomodating, we called last minute and were still welcomed into a clean, updated room with a great view. Fantastic value for money, definitely the best stay in the area.

Food was great, delicious seafood, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend, we will be returning!

A hidden gem, excellent staff, food lovely, and accommodation is a bargain. The guest lounge with open fireplace a bonus.

A really lovely little place to stop. Room was neat, clean, and we'll provisioned. Bathroom was lovely. Bed was comfy. Great location across from the water. Service was super friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend The Kermandie as a place to stay.
