Poverty Point (Cooloola) camping area

Pleasantly surprised!! A very nice quiet and peaceful camp. Camping in June there were no mozzies or flies. A few midgies, but all in all not too bad.
The weather was perfect.
Had the place pretty much to ourselves. The road in is sandy and quite soft in places.

Great spot. No amenities. Perfect easy getaway.

Great camping spot. While there are no facilities, the location is superb.

Nice little camping area. Clean and quiet. Free camp right next to the water. Lots of wildlife.
Sandy track in 4x4 needed. Do not recommend for motor homes or Caravans due to sandy track.

Great place to camp and fish. The mud crabs are worth trying, we always get a few. The only downside would be the mosquitoes and sandflies which can be prolific depending on the conditions. You need to book the campsites.

A lovely spot but can be very difficult to get to as the track is weather dependant.
