The Lucky Shag

Came in mid morning and had no issues with finding a table. It was packed as we left and for a good reason! The food was delicious and had prompt service letting us know when the kitchen was about to close their breakfast service so we could be directed to their lunch menu. The chilli mussels were great and the firecracker wings tasted amazing as well! Priced reasonably. Would go again!

This is a great bar in the evening with a lively and fun atmosphere. The terrace out the back has a large number of tables and the bar is large making service fast. I managed to order a couple of snacking dishes before the kitchen closed for the evening and both arrived quickly and were sizeable for the price. The bar staff were helpful in recommending beers and it was a great touch having TV screens in the toilets so you don’t miss out on the sport! Great bar and I’ll certainly be returning.

Beautiful outlook, great menu and vibe. It’s busy but relaxed with friendly staff. We ducked in for a quick bite between lunch and dinner. The cheese bread looked better but my partner was too hungry to wait lol

Came in today for a family lunch, service and food was excellent. My dad is the fussiest boomer in the world and he loved his perfectly cooked steak. Servings were great sizes and pizzas were incredible. Fast service considering fairly busy, and even a cocktail was made very quickly. 5 stars all round, new favourite spot for sure !

This is a great fun restaurant. In spite of its rather risque name, there is no connection with the sex industry! Not exactly haute cuisine but the location is superb day or night, the view across the river is superb.
Do use sun-block if you are sitting outside on a clear day.
We will be back!

Great location, tasty food. Just don't enjoy the whole post covid scan to order. No customer service. Everything feels like a fast food chain these days.

Whether it’s the diverse menu, wide ranging tap beer or wonderful staff (particularly “The Shaggettes”), I love everything The Lucky Shag has to offer. But what I relish most about this venue is its location - a stroll away from the CBD and on the edge of the magnificent Swan River. Hint: the best time to go is just as the sun goes down. Sitting on the veranda, listening to some groovy live music and enjoying dinner….there’s not much in life that I enjoy more.

My only “gripe” is that being from Sydney, I don’t get to visit as much as I’d like. However, considering I’ve been going there since 2009, I’d like to believe I’m in a good place to share my experiences.

If you’re a seasoned visitor or new to the city, a visit to Perth isn’t complete without a drink at “The Shag”. Don’t forget to enquire about their “merch” either,

Great little pub when you get off the ferry being out at Rottnest all day. Food is fabulous and came out quick too delicious and definitely recommend about the best we have had for dinner since being on this holiday.

Had the bar manager Mitch serve us, absolute legend of a man, had a lot of patience for the crowd and was good at manging the atmosphere. Awesome dude, great venue.

Good “standard” bar with decent food, good selection of beers and a nice setting right next to the river.

It’s really benefited from the upgrades and increased traffic around Elizabeth Quay. Good for after work drinks if it’s in your neighbourhood

Perfect stop for drinks and a great feed overlooking the water and South Perth.
Great vibe with plenty of beers on tap & a pretty good food selection on offer.
Outdoor deck on the water is the popular location but you can also dine inside if you wish.

Held a hens party event here and can't speak more highly of the their team in helping organise it. Friendly staff, very accomodating, great communication and organisation! A very affordable place for events and cost for value is excellent. The menu provided was delicious!

A must visit for anyone. Food, views, atmosphere are all top notch

We had a few drinks as well.

The place was very busy and there was live music as well as sport on TV's around the venue. The service and food was good and tasty. The friendly staff were very accommodating and friendly. Their service were fantastic. I can recommend this for great food and fun. The ablution facilities were clean and looked after.

Beautiful bar / restaurant at Elizabeth Quay, Perth with fantastic views over the Swan River towards South Perth.
Ideal for eating outdoors on the terrace with a more than acceptable menu with a variety of plates on offer. If all you want is a nice cold beer this is a neat spot.
Highly recommended.

Beautiful spot to visit by foot, car or boat. Good atmosphere here especially when the live music is playing and the sun is setting. Fried chicken burger was good.

Great place for drinks and a ripper view, can get busy but that explains that others must rate this place too. Haven't eaten here so can't complain about the food

Tasty selection of beers, ciders and delicious food close to/over the water... we loved the relaxed atmosphere here, only on weekends and evenings it could be too crowdy
