Stay Rottnest

We stayed in the premium standard units near Bathurst lighthouse.
A 1 min walk to Pinky's beach. Perfect for a meal and a drink. Self contained and very clean, all you need. 5 minute walk to main part for plenty of meal options and groceries. Only feedback was staff checking in and out had little care factor. But a great mini break.

Western Australia is so lucky that residents can book such excellent accommodation at such a good price. Remember the history pay respect to the past and live in the present.

Uncomplicated, great to relax. Just don't feed the seagulls or Quokkas. The Tuesday night trivia quiz at the Governor's bar is highly recommended. Make use of the buses to reach those out of way spots.

Gorgeous quokkas, gorgeous beaches. Relaxing and easy to get around (by bike, foot, or the shuttle bus). Rottnest Island is not to be missed. It's an easy day trip from Perth, or if you have the time you can stay in one of the many accommodations here. Camping is available also.

I have stayed in the bungalows along Thompson bay 3 times now and each one has been great. They are the cheaper, more down-market accommodation on Rottnest Island but they are comfortable, clean and supply almost everything (beds, bathroom-seperate to the bungalow, oven, toaster, cooking implements, microwave, BBQ, etc) but no TV. We have brought a TV with us the last two times and this has worked well but obviously there is no cabel tv available. The more expensive ones, which I have been in before) are made of brick rather than wood, have the bathroom inside the house and have a TV and some have a nicer view. If you plan to spend a lot of time in your house on Rotto ( I wouldn't suggest this) then get a nicer house. If you are here to explore the island and swim and ride then get a bungalow since you wont be in it much and it is very comfortable anyway. We are here for two weeks and we got a free clean and replacement of our towels and bedding (which are provided). They were quick, friendly and polite. The Rottnest Island Authority is very good and helping and supplying its visitors with all there needs and I have no complaints.

AND THE ISLAND SPECTACULAR.ONE OF THE FAMILY TURNED 50 ,SO IT WAS A GREAT PLACE
FOR A LOW KEY CELEBRATION. IN MY OPINION
MONEY WELL SPENT.
CRAYFISH AND CHAMPAGNE WAS THE ORDER
OF THE EVENING.

One of the best places to get away from the real world. The units are basic and expensive but you can't beat that rottnest experience, a must go place for everyone but so much better if you can stay a while.

Near the visitors centre, great backyard ocean views and really clean! Will come back for sure! :)

Great place to snorkel, cycle and relax. Beaches are safe for kids.

the whole experience is hard to fault..scenery, services ,and general venue service was very friendly .

Nice clean accommodation, friendly RIA staff and best of all you can really relax on Rotto.
