Thomas the ranger at the front desk was incredibly helpful. His charisma and natural talent in his role lifted our spirits as the rains poured down. His background in marine biology was extremely evident in his knowledge of the flora and fauna of the surrounding area. His love for the national park service is clear to see and he will clearly go far. Thomas was a shining light in the darkest of hours in the Tasman National Park.

Lovely campsite with toilets and well maintained campsite sites suitable for two wheel drive cars. Very cheap $13 for a site. The dirt out there has a lot of pot holes in it so take your time getting out there but it's definitely worth it. Right on the beach, the beach is beautiful. Lots of wildlife and a creek running through the park. 😍

Beautiful surrounds and lots of hikes leaving right from the camping area. Good amenities (paid showers). Note: amenities do not have lighting so shower during daylight or remember your head torch!

This campsite was definitely worth the drive! You truly are in the heart of the national park, and the views and wildlife were second to none! The toilet and shower facilities were well maintained and we enjoyed exploring the beach in the morning. Great base camp whilst exploring the area!

A lovely little camping site, which is relatively secluded and tranquil. It was our first campsite of the trip and has certainly set the bar high. There are a range of walks to do, we did the Canoe Bay walk and it was not too hard and very scenic. I would certainly recommend this campsite as it’s cheap, there are toilets and it is stunning.

Absolutely Beautiful spot and well layed out hiking trails.
Be aware that hot shower tokens are only available while the office is staffed 11am-3pm approximate times.
Very friendly native wildlife all around

Stunning campground with lots of space. Will get full during peak times so make sure to call ahead to book a spot. Nice views along the water and a beach to unwind after a long day. Easy access to the Cape Hauy trailhead.

Great spot for our campervan! Right at the trailhead for Cape Hauy track which was awesome. We also free dived right out front and saw amazing sea life. The best part was to be able to hop into a hot shower after diving in cold Tassie waters!

Wonderful campsite that makes a perfect base for hiking the capes. Book ahead of time during the high season. Well maintained separate campsites and warm showers available. Don’t feed the animals or they will raid your tent for food later on!

Why did the tuna blush? Because the see weed.

Also this place is great for camping, beautiful little beach and good access for hiking trails! Popular for launching boats

This is a great spot for a bit of camping. Book a site, heaps of spots, and car parks. A booked sit will get you a hot shower as well which is almost as good as swimming in the ocean

Beautiful location with excellent facilities that we found were always clean. Really busy at Xmas time, watch you young kids as lots of people speeding down to the boat ramp.

Great campground right on the water with toilets and showers. Make sure you book a site in advance and be aware the road in is a little rough!

Great bush camp by the bay, we had a beautiful sunset despite the rain! Also lots of Kangaroos and wallabies around, camp fires are allowed, hot showers for $2 and toilets were okay too. Almost no phone signal though (Telstra).
