There are so few local bookshops like this left, drowned out by Amazon and Booktopia and Kmart and Big W, and that's a crying shame.

The Bookshop in Darwin is one such bookshop. The selection of books is perfectly curated, the staff genuinely love books and love talking to you about books. Please buy your books here rather than Kmart and Big W - we need bookshops like this in our town, and in the world.

There was one staff member who was extremely kind and helpful. I wanted to see if they had the second Artemis fowl book, and although they didn’t, he suggested I buy Percy jackson instead. He said he had read both Artemis fowl and Percy Jackson and they were similar. Since then, I have read the whole Percy Jackson series, heroes of Olympus and I am now onto the Kane chronicles. The best book store I have been to :)

They happily let you browse. They have an amazing selection of books and boardgames including; articulate, 5 second rule, exploding kittens etc. Music choices in store are on point, small collection of hardback classics and amazing selection of educational/self help books. LGBT books and children books to help identify feelings, emotions and to reject racism. Amazing customer service!!! Will be back again.

It was amazing, they had their books sectioned so if you wanted a particular section you just had to read the signs and find the section. It's really easy to navigate in that store with finding books

Definitely the go-to place for new books in Darwin. They have a great loyalty program for regular customers where you get a discount from I think the 8th book purchased.
Their range suits the area, with lots of titles relating to the Top End of Australia and Indigneous history and culture.
I have ordered in a few hard to get titles before, and they managed to find them and get them in for me promptly.

Darwin's only independent bookstore and I always walk out with more than I intended. You can message them over FB with queries and they get back to you quickly. Good supporter of local authors.

I get most of my books here,they have a good variety in stock and the service is always friendly, conveniently located in the Mall

I love this Bookshop. Sean, the manager is very knowledgeable about the books he sells and all the staff are so helpful. Also they don't mind me getting in everyone's way with my walker and it is a lovely place to get lost in. They sell a very good range of different books. It is always a pleasure to visit.
