Marrickville Metro

There’s so many things to love about this shopping centre and the services it provides to the residents of the inner west community, it’s not the biggest centre but it has almost everything you need and the fact that there’s a tattoo shop there with the best customer service makes it a standout, amongst so many other things that are great about this centre. And the food precinct too has just enough offering to be great at meeting any appetite needs!

A really nice addition to the previous shopping area. It has a wide variety to shops and restaurants to cater to the different taste buds and foodie.

Design of the new wing has a nice clean modern fresh look. Parents/baby changing room is amazing!

Very kids and baby friendly with lots of options for foodies.

Will definitely be back.

Great extension to a dated mall. There is a decent variety of shops that are useful for local dining and shopping. Addition of more casual food choices and a home appliance/electronics store would be ideal as well as an update to the main mall which is looking tired and dated.

Awesome selection of places to eat. The Lebanese & Italian are two that I have eaten at, and they were both excellent

Busy centre with plenty variety in retail shopping and ample free parking. New section has opened in Smidmore Street and its spacious with great atmosphere with some great new food places added to the centre, just a short walk out of the main building.
Can be a bit confusing in there to find your way around if you're new in the place, but most centres are just like that. Somewhat decieving in size but a great haunt for the locals to shop in. It has just about everything needed with modern upgrades done to it.

Love this mall. Good selection of shops and very good food options in both food court (old section) and restaurants (new section). Love the fun, colorful, and interesting layout and eclectic interior of the new section. There is a beautifully re-painted old piano. Also equiped with a Dyson hair dryer in the ladies.

Great example an urban food revival. A former, dull industrial area transformed into a very nice foodie complex of different cuisines. Well worth a visit!

A great shopping center with a local feel that's expanding and getting better year by year without loosing touch to it's local roots. Good selection of brand name and highly quality independent stores (the independent butcher and fruit market is a must-try!) + A few quirky gift/general stores you didn't know you wanted or needed until you tried them. Also has a book nook, recycle/swap meet, outdoor chill area with reflection pond, outdoor chess/play area, bike racks, taxi rank, bus stops and more with local pub, coffee shops and major park with aquatic center all within easy 10-15mins walk. Highly recommend.

What have they done to this place! Marrickville Metro used to be one of the most depressing places on Earth. Dreary, ugly people, tired old shops and it just felt dirty and forgotten.

Now - my god! It's bright, brilliant, an amazing selection of shops. Everything is clean. The food options are EPIC and the place is double the size. They have EVERYTHING!

Parking still isn't the easiest but I always get one. I love this place now. My whole family wants to go there any time we are nearby.

You guys should be a case study in how to rejuvinate a shopping centre. Well done!

the Services and Facilities staff at Marrickville Metro are so helpful, professional and polite. I had an incident with my vehicle, and they were quick to rule out anything that happened in the car park (from viewing the CCTV footage)
The shopping centre is so convenient to have nearby, with its long trading hours, air conditioned food-court, cleanliness and presentation.

Great shoppings centre small but offering a lot of shops and a lot of good food. I love it one of my favourite and with a big car park and close to station

Watch Center is a SCAMMER, and RIPPED OFF people.
DON'T go to [Watch Center] on the Ground floor. They scam & tricky! I bought a $50 watch from them, started with they purposely told that Don't wash hand with it, once water get into it, they don't cover to fix it. I only worn ONCE, it stopped working. I went back, they blackmailed me that I wet it, that's the reason it broken!

Finishing renovation with the new extension in November 2021. The deco are highlighted and transformed from a local shopping mall to an awesome place to hangout. 🤠🤟😎

All round good shopping centre. Has everything you need all at one place. Always able to find parking.

Great shopping centre which never fails to impress and deliver. Not too big and not too small with an excellent range of up to date stores, excellent book store, excellent toy store, Kmart, excellent food options and a car wash!

It’s a nice mall with a very cool modern area with stylish lighting and signs. We shopped at their Coles which has great bakery items and fizzy drinks.

Nice to see a few new shops for clothes and footwear etc. Having both coles and woolies is a bonus aswell as kmart and service nsw. Very nice upgrades.

One stop shop in the Newtown, marrickville area for all groceries, home goods, electronics and others. The metro has an Aldi, Woolies, Coles, Kmart and some other stores. Plenty of parking and easy access.

The new addition to Marrickville Metro would have to one of the best smaller shopping centres I’ve been to. The aesthetics, design and architecture is awesome. Very unique with retro, future fit outs. The toilets even look amazing. Restaurants have a great vibe with many cuisines available. Worth checking out.

Plenty of parking. You’ll find Woolworths and Cole’s, Kmart and Aldi. Service NSW, Aus post, banks and food courts in old and new part of shopping centre. Something here for everyone….clothing and shoe stores, jewellery stores. Metro has come a long way over the years.
