Lazy Susan's Eating House & Yum Cha

Great spot in Darwin. Food and service is excellent. Don’t forget a margarita to accompany dinner.

Love Lazy Susan’s. Have visited a few times for dinner; the food is always fresh and tasty, and the service is top notch.

Today we visited for Yum Cha (Sunday brunch). We booked a table at 11AM (booking is advised).

Thoroughly enjoyed the brunch experience, food was delicious (as always). Highly recommend the Spicy Salt Squid and the Fried Wontons. Also loved my coconut crushie (natural), if you want a non-alcoholic drink; it was very refreshing after walking around in the heat.

What a top notch Chinese Restaurant!! A tad pricey, but well worth it... the food was amazing, as was the service! Great atmosphere too!!

Had their soft shell crab (entree), Peking duck three ways (poultry), kinto pork spare ribs and spicy salt squid.

The soft shell crab was okay. The legs were good but as you keep eating to the main body, you can taste a really fishy smell that not even the dipping sauce could cover.

The Peking duck three way was amazing. The pancakes were warm, the duck meat was good (though the skin could be crispier) and the sauce was amazing. The duck soup is really nice to drink. The duck fried rice is what you would expect of a normal fried rice.

The kinto pork spare ribs is the star of the dish for me. The ribs were fried to perfection and the sweet tomato sauce goes so well with it. Would definitely recommend this.

The spicy salt squid is the star of the dish for my partner. I loved it too. I'm glad it had a slight kick to it as I couldn't see much chilli on it and thought it was going to be a plain salt and pepper squid dish.

Overall fast service despite being full house. The waiters were friendly too.

Fantastic restaurant! Cocktails were very clever, a must try. Ordered chicken wings and softshell crab starters, and pork, ribs, duck curry, and beef for mains. Food was perfect. Best restaurant experience during our Darwin holiday, highly recommend!

We went for yum cha and it was superb. Every dish was magnificent, so it’s hard to pick a winner….maybe the prawn toast, which is next level delicious. The restaurant is lovely, and the service and ambiance great. And the one cocktail I tried - the drunk monkey was 10/10. We will be back!

There is nothing lazy about this restaurant. Open space setting but very private. Romantic or festive perfect for a party. Wine collection is wide and tasty. Staff are friendly, helpful and service is efficient. The chef knows his dishes and the flavours are just right. A copious amount of jasmine rice will ensure you soak up and eat these large servings.

Great friendly staff. Tasty cocktails. Good tucker, had the prawn toast (plenty of prawn meat) and the mixed pork plate - the meat was very tasty 😋 would definitely go back again

I'm always happy to eat suck when I encounter it and this place provided some tasty duck. Great venue in the heart of the city and also very popular!

Great food, great decor, clean and fresh, the soft shell crab was a little average but the D.I.Y pancakes, the San chow bow and the pad Thai were amazing, can't wait to try the yum cha, definitely worth a visit

For a meal we didn't really order, the food here was amazing!
As unsuspecting tourists, we arrived at 8:15pm for dinner. We were seated and handed menus and told the kitchen is closing.
We decided to order from the Yum Cha menu. We ordered four dishes. Our order was taken and, soon after, our server was back to inform us that two of our dishes were unavailable. We asked what was available and orders another two dishes, only to be told yet another dish was no longer available. So,out of our four original dishes, we ended up with two and two others that we hadn't ordered. It didn't matter though, because everything we had was so good. The roast pork was tender, the brocoli was cooked to perfection, the har gow was flavourful and the spring rolls were just right!
Would highly recommend this place, just get there before 8pm.

Very very good yum Cha they hold their own against interstate restaurants. Squid is yummy.

Very warm welcome. We ordered a lamb, beef, as well one vegetarian dish.
All dishes were served hot, and with a smile !
The fried ice cream was a delicious desert.

Friendly service, nice modern restaurant, and the best laksa I’ve had in Darwin. Yum! The cocktails are also great too!

Absolutely fantastic as always

We are always on the look out for delicious gluten free dishes and lazy susans always delivers. The food is fresh and quick with a variety of fantastic cocktails and wines.

Every time we are in town we make a conscious effort to visit at lest twice.

The staff are warm and welcoming while never rushing you at the end of the night and the atmosphere is cosy.

Unreal veggie laksa, will definitely come back when next in Darwin!
