Tokio Brands Japanese Kitchen (Richmond)

Came here for Mother's Day dinner, it was delicious! Most of the dishes were spectacular and the whole family enjoyed it. Standout dishes were the aburi sushi dishes, catch me in a foil and Miyazaki chicken. Will definitely be back for more! Keep up the good work guys.

The salmon oishi is blow torched so nicely, served with this amazing sauce on top. You know its good when I do not want to share the dish with anyone and have it all for myself.
There is ample seating area on both levels and a nice bar downstairs

Food and ambience were fantastic! Staff were friendly and attentive. Modern Japanese cuisine served with yummy cocktails and alcohol. Everything was fresh and flavoursome. Even the wasabi was made fresh and not from commercial tube.

Omg! This meal was divine! Japanese lovers will like this.. bbq fries were yummy, sushi was great, the bao bun ahhhh yummy!! And the lychee cocktail was delicious. A hit!

Food superb delicious and fresh. Chicken Miyazaki is my favourite with Nanban sauce. Definitely will visit this restaurant again. Bao Bae also strongly recommended with soft bun and tasty ingredients. 😊

I ordered pork gyoza and wagyu beef curry from this restaurant and found out it is simply outstanding. I highly recommend to try this venue if you are craving for Japanese food.

I was a regular at Modern Eatery and will be a regular at its reincarnation as Tokio Brands too. The food hub is a quick, efficient and friendly home for Tokio Brands and the food is as good, maybe even better, than it was before.

This was an amazing, healthy meal experience. We ordered the Chicken Katsu Bento and it was amazing, we will ordering here again and often. We actually hadn't had a bento box this healthy since we lived overseas and it bought back some really nice memories. Excellent, excellent meal. Keep up the great work.

Nice spot for a relaxing, quick lunch. Food was good, delivery was fast, ambience was nice, staff were friendly. No loud music, suitable for informal lunch meetings.

I ordered the katsu curry which is very good value and tastes better than another bento chain that starts with the letter D. The use of black rice mixed with Japanese rice is pretty refreshing and healthy. Would be great if you can provide the chili powder separate from the sauce and indicate there is only one level of spiciness of the curry, but that's not a very big issue.

After a long and exhausting day my friend and I decided to order from here. And it was the best decision we made that day. The food was super filling and delicious, and we were really happy with the amount as well. Bonus points for the sustainable packaging! Keen to eat there again soon.

Their bao burgers are absolutely delicious. You must get their chicken bao burger, you won't regret it! Hot, fresh and crunchy. I'm drooling right now 😍😍😍

We ordered for a corporate lunch, quite a few plates and the Modern Eatery guys were spot-on! Delicious, the quantity was there, couldn't recommend more. Edward even helped us carrying all the food to the car!!

This place is awesome. And the man at the bar was so lovely. We watched him say hi and bye to everyone and was so attentive given how busy things get during a night out. The three restaurants in one thing is pretty cool. Food is very well presented and comes out efficiently. I could eat and drink all night here and then finish strong with dessert.

Ashamedly addicted to all their miso eggplant dishes! Perfectly cooked, not too sweet, not too oily, good quality eggplant ( i.e. not a bunch of eggplant seeds) and great simple fresh Japanese flavours. Pickles are the perfect accompaniment. Rice cooked well. Packaged with care.

Better than other miso eggplant dishes from other sources I've tried.
