Mary's Laksa - Parap Market

First thing we did when we arrived in Darwin was drive straight to Parap Market for a Mary’s chicken & prawn laksa! Long queue that passed quickly, umbrellas are placed so you are not in the direct sun. Good value for money, the right amount of chicken and prawns. Broth was slightly sweeter than we are used to, but very enjoyable. Prefer just the vermicelli and not the thicker noodles. Will be returning regularly once Mary returns from hols on the 6th. 😜 recommend!!

Could possibly be the best Laksa in Australia! Great flavours and ingredients. This is a staple, if you are in Darwin on a Saturday, you get Mary's Laksa at Parap Market, no question.

An assuming food stall serves the best laksa I’ve eaten - even better than ones I’ve tasted in Malaysia and even Penang. Mary’s is an icon and once that smooth, chilli coconut taste with a burst of fresh herbs hits your tongue - you understand why. Perfect balance and very generous with the garnishes

As mentioned in other reviews, the line is long but moves fast. I tried the seafood laksa and it was good. Struggle was to find a place to eat it in the very crowded market!

Hands down the best laksa I’ve ever eaten. Whenever I do a trip up to the NT I never miss getting a veggie laksa from Mary’s. There are almost always long lines, but with good reason - the laksas are simply the best!

Have heard lots about this place and it did not disappoint! Very reasonable price for a fair portion. My husband, daughter and I were all impressed and thought each of our Laksas were delicious.

Laksa is popular in Darwin. You will not be disappointed with Mary's. Great atmosphere to be soaked up while your waiting in the queue. Don't be put off the queue moves fast.

My preference is Mary's prawn soup - not too much chilli though! Mary and all the people who work there are lovely. They make me feel special because they remember me. The soup is always the same - delicious!

I never had laksa before in my life. Now I make it part of my Saturday ritual to go to Mary's stall.

The best laksa in Darwind highly competitive Laksa market. If you only have 1 laksa this year have Mary's. In fact have a Mary's laksa this year and theres no way you'll only have 1 laksa this year. Hahaha

I had chicken laksa. $9.00. Absolutely unreal, so delicious. Long line but moved quickly. Highly recommend 👍🏽
