Thornbury Taphouse

Went to try their bottomless meat platter which might not be for vegans but it is definitely worth its weight in beef, brisket and booze!

The platter itself was protein packed and loaded high with a mountain of chips and onion rings. Still confused if the meat is also as bottomless as the drinks for the 90 min special on a Sunday but my dad and I only got through one before we were full so it wasn't worth asking the question.

The 14hr smoked beef brisket was definitely my fav, with the epic 300g beef rib coming in a close second. The coleslaw is nothing special but it doesn't have to be when the meat is so good! And the pickles a definite win especially when combating any meat flavour fatigue.

I had great chats with Jude about all things rotating beets and signature cocktails and with spritz included in the special seriously at $59pp, one or two spritz in and you have already made your money's worth!!

Already looking forward to that mango splice beer that is next to be kegged, that spicy marg Jude has brewing and having no room left for an ice-cream sundae with sprinkles on this occasion, I promise I'll be back.

I booked for a group of four people and we were all pleased with the service. From the moment we walked in until we left… the service, atmosphere, food… all very good and we got served as required. I highly recommend it.

I visited thornbury taphouse for their bottomless brunch and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing and we were able to taste test the beers that they have on tap.
( 16 beers on tap). The beef brisket was absolutely delicious!!

Food was incredible. My partner had a smoked chicken burger and he loved it. I had the brisket burger and no joke, one of the best things I’ve eaten in years!
Chips were also immaculate, crispy & well seasoned.
Food was also reasonably fast to come out of the kitchen too.
Service was lovely and staff were very attentive and kind.
Wide selection of drinks.
Seating areas are beautiful with great ambient lighting & comfy chairs. Also a wide variety of seating types that would suit all different outings.

Great selection of local craft beers. When I first came here it had various Carlton beers. Now they have transitioned to 3 ravens and hawkers and other craft beer. Great to see. Have eaten here before and it was solid standard pub fare (didn’t eat today). The nightly specials are a good attractor for locals.

Our host was very friendly, engaging and extremely passionate about the amazing range of craft beers and food on offer (wish I wasn't drving!).

A total gem! We were in the neighborhood and was just wandering around to find dinner. Came across this place. If you are a beer fan, this brew house is very cool. Since I don't drink much now, I love their food even more! It gets packed so it is good to make a reservation especially on their promo days.

1 year old today and this place has cemented itself as one of the top establishments in high street. A stand out amongst so many brilliant venues. Good specials every day, friendly staff and a fabulous range of rotating beers on tap. It’s a stunning venue, well fitted out, can’t wait to enjoy a pre show dinner here (as its embedded inside Thornbury Theatre).

Delightful! 2 entrees 2 mains and some wine. Had a wonderful evening full of good food and good service. 😁

I went there for dinner, went to see a live band elsewhere and then went back to the Taphouse to finish the night. Great food, drinks and awesome service. Thanks for a great experience.

Although I'm local never stopped in but did for the Tuesday half price food was fab, the staff were really fast and super friendly. It actually had a community vibe and few tables cross-chatting etc .... The way it feels isn't the best (think its the furniture set up) but sure they could fix that.

We had a beautiful dinner there on Friday night.
The staff were wonderful and Maya was a gem allowing us to choose what ever music we wanted so we can dance and celebrate our friends bday.
She even joined us on the dance floor.
Nothing was a problem for her.
Such a chilled place. We will definitely be going back.

Myself, three adults and 2 kids under 10 had lunch at Thornbury Taphouse for mothers day today. The decor was cool but lacked ambience and a cool vibe... but who cares - the food was AMAZING. Absolutely delicious. I had the Linguini Marinara. It was - perfection. Mum had the Rbeye - amazing. My sister and her hubby had burgers and nachos and kids had kids meals chip were so good as well. Small simple menu executed well. Reasonable prices too. I will definitely return and take friends. One thing they definitely need to fix is the cleanliness of the toilets. Not sure if they are part of the restaurant though as you had to walk out to building next door. In ant case, they were disgusting. Thank you Thornbury Taphouse. I think you are the first restaurant we have taken mum too where she didn't complain about the food!

Great value on Tuesday for some dishes half price. The chicken burger was unreal, huge monster and tasted delish. Calimari was cooked to perfection too. Bargain for $12 and $11 respectively. Staff were great too, very friendly.

Went on Monday evening with a group of friends and had a good time. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent service. I checked out there specials online and was pleasantly surprised with what is on offer. Parma and pint for $20. Can't go wrong and the parma was good quality.
Will definitely go back.

Indoor and outdoor dining, good ambience and decor, nice food, friendly staff, a good selection of on tap beer, a great restaurant for us locals and visitors alike and the menu is fairly priced providing good value for money. I recommend making a booking because the Taphouse is a very popular venue. Highly recommended.
