Lip Cafe.

Thanks to the amazing people at the Lip Cafe for their incredible service. Currently stuck isolating (like everyone else it feels ), and they went above and beyond to help us out with delivering food, coffee beans and essentials for us with an amazingly quick and personal service, despite themselves being short staffed and facing their own challenges with the current pandemic. Always been our go to Cafe, and this is why. Can't wait to dine in again 🙂

So great to finally get back into restaurants! Lip Cafe is a really lovely cafe in the Waterdale road shopping district. Quick, efficient, lovely service. Catering for everything you might need - DF, GF, NF, V, VG how ever you eat you can eat it here.

This morning we grabbed their Avo Smash and Potato Rosti - both were excellent and came quickly. We also grabbed a flat white each - and their baristas know how to use every Milk Lab under the sun.

Highly recommend to go grab something yummy now we can eat in.

I thoroughly recommend the Lip Cafe About 20 adults and children celebrated our mother’s 100th birthday in the rear courtyard area. The very considerate, friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to create a delightful space. The staff erected a marquis, and decorated the area with bright cushions, balloons and flowers. Although the kitchen was not open on a Tuesday, the staff arranged a delivery of delicious sandwiches. The coffee was of an excellent standard. The children were excited to have iced drinks. I will certainly keep the Lip Cafe in mind for further functions. Thank you so much on behalf of all Peggy’s family and friends.

The atmosphere is cozy and nice, certainly my absolute favorite go-to spot as a local. I’ve gone here constantly for the last 3 years and that won’t change, every single cup of coffee + the amazing food always hits the spot. We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Absolutely love this place and will continue to visit. ♥

Always solid, really great service. Recently I have been loving their BLT. Pro-tip: the ready to eat meals in their fridge are great. Hoping the gnocchi is there next time - so good.

This guys deserve 6 stars at least. The place is small and does not say much, and even the presentation of the food is "nah", but the staff are super helpful, the food is great and there is a good variety of teas and non dairy milk! The have tons of space, high chairs and games for kids to keep them happy while you are eating. And they even have silicone cups for the babychinnos! Very clean, very friendly. Recommended!!

The coffee was excellent and the service happy and friendly at this cafe, a very nice place on Waterdale Road. The food looked really interesting but we’ll do that next time. These cafes are essential at any time but especially in lockdowns. May they prosper forever.

I recently took my chances and returned to Lip Cafe' (As I was craving a turmeric latte). And wow this placed has changed for the better.

The customer serve and hygeine has improved exponentially. Tables and seating areas are now clean. Staff are friendly, prompt and professional.

I had a lovely conversation with one of the new staff. She was happy to hear my previous issues with this establishment, and made me aware of new and exciting changes that are in store for the future.

Congratulations Lip Cafe' you guys have made such amazing improvements. I will be sure to return and spread the word of greatly improved establishment.

Having been a patron from day 1, i have seen this fantastic little cafe blossom - i absolutely love coming here each time and looking for the little changes they have made either to the decor or the flavours on the menu. The regular menu is always reliable and the specials are always mouthwatering, don't get me started on the macaroons! We loved them so much we had them at our wedding!

Our group of 17 cyclists who had asked for a table to be set aside
were very pleased. One of the staff especially sat "saving" the large backroom table for us. Very thoughtful. The gates were unlocked so our bikes could be safely stored. The service for coffee was very efficient, excellent considering our numbers and the portugese tart was delish.

So amazing having this top level cafe only a stone's throw away from our house! Has really blossomed under new management and will be a Sunday staple for us from now on!! Coffee is incredible, service is on point, 100/100!

I've been dining at Lip since it first opened, despite not being a local!!
From pulled pork sandwiches to vietnamese grilled chicken to glorious curries to all-day breakfasts with organic produce plus daily specials, I'm constantly impressed by the flavours, the consistent quality and the amazing service (I've rarely waited more than 10 minutes for my meal). Top pick for dessert is the home made rhubarb crumble!!
This is a quality find in a small shopping strip that deserves a regular following.......
(the coffee is damn fine too!)

Lovely local Cafe. Has a funky alternative feel. Friendly to children and dogs. Has some fantastic breakfast options like baked eggs with beans. Many gluten free and dairy free options.

Food and drinks are delicious, the staff are lovely and the lady that runs the place is so hospitable despite the place being crazy busy every time i've been (always a sign of quality!). Highly recommend!!

Great cafe! It was a hot day, but it was cool inside. There is seating out front, inside, a quieter space in the rear and a courtyard out the back.
Coffee was superb, food delicious and the staff were lovely.

Tried and true, cafe lip is a stalwart of Ivanhoe serving consistent and delicious food from their quaint little cafe. Highlights include their Shiitake Omelette, Chilli Tofu with rice and those incredible muffins. They also to take-away and the staff are very friendly.

Chilled atmosphere, yummy food, nice coffee. Plus free WiFi for customers. A really neat little spot, especially good as there aren't many decent coffee shops in this area.

One of my fav local cafes. The coffee is great and the food is yum. I recommend the crispy pork sandwich. They decor is quirky and appealing
