Mount Lofty Botanic Garden

A beautiful serene place which really come live in Autumn / Fall. The riot of colours is delightful and good weather is just the cherry on top. We celebrate autumn every year by visiting this place , this year we hosted a picnic lunch for 25 people.
It was an immersive experience for everyone and we got some stunning pictures.
The only downside is the parking lots are not enough to cater for the weekend rush and hence lead to congestion and long hike. They need to work on additional parking spaces.

Amazing colours in Autumn! However, I reckon it would be a great place to visit any time of the year. There are a variety of walks - easy to medium. The lower carpark is the best option for the Autumn colours, otherwise you will be walking up hill to return to the upper carpark.
It does get very busy during school holidays and weekends, so I recommend an early start or visiting outside of these periods.
The maximum you need to pay for parking is $4, which is peanuts compared to the price of a cup of coffee these days.

.This is one of the best places to visit in Adelaide and the best time to visit during autumn season. Different colours of leaves made the place look like paradise and the scenic views were spectacular. If you are a nature lover, this place is a must👌🏻

Mt Lofty Botanical Gardens are beautiful with picturesque views. April is perfect for all the autumn colours. It was very busy during school holidays but the paths were quiet. To follow a particular loop was a little confusing, but it's a fantastic way to spend a day and lots of picnic areas.

Beautiful autumn colours. It gets a little busy during autumn weekends and public holidays. So be prepared to park a little further away.

Absolutely beautifull. We visited in April, on a Sunday. It was very busy but well worth it. The parking at the Upper parking entrance was completely full and the road approaching this entrance is very narrow. Steep decline to the duck pond from here and a tough short hike to get back- brilliant views, peaceful sureoundings and some good excersise.

Not many prettier places I've been. The most relaxing place to draw and write, but also to hike if you're in the mood for something more strenuous. A great place to visit any time, with anyone. I've spent hours and hours here for an amazing day out

Lovely park! Easy parking with toilets. Stunning views. An abundance of flowers, bushes and trees. If one starts at the upper carpark all trails lead downhill. They are steep! Getting back to your vehicle will take considerably longer time, then it took leaving it. Still well worth the treck.

Beautiful garden, the gardeners have done an amazing job.
We went there early in the morning on a weekday, and it was easy to find a car park and not too busy.

I've been in Adelaide for over a decade but never visited this beautiful spot!! Loved the autumn colours slowly coming in and such a great place for a family day out or a nice walk with views!!!

Try to visit during Autumn between April-May. You will definitely love the autumn colors at Mount Lofty during this time period 🍂

Absolutely love this place! Come here all the time to walk around in unreal scenery, it’s always to peaceful and relaxing. Insanely well maintained and you can just keep exploring the many walks and paths the gardens has to offer. So much to explore!

This place is like a sen garden. The bio diversity changes the beauty of the garden during different seasons. Autumn is my favourite with yellow, red and orange colours.

The weather was awesome. The kids enjoyed it a lot. Had a good experience.place where you can spend the whole day in the lap of nature.trail there. You can also plan a picnic with your family or friends .

Went on a picnic there and it was really beautiful and colourful. If you are a nature lover or want a break from your weekly routine this is the place to visit, specially in autumn.

We learned this the hard way, but here's a pro tip: consider parking in the lower areas to catch a beautiful view of the lake. It not only saves you from an uphill trek but also provides a lovely perspective of the surroundings.

The exercise is no joke, and if you're not feeling up to it or aren't prepared for a hilly adventure, take it easy. The beauty of the garden is still accessible from various points, so you can tailor your visit based on your fitness level.

Overall, Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts, but just be ready to break a sweat if you park at the top!

Beautiful any time of year, but Autumn is simply gorgeous. Hike, picnic or meander, just visit!

Must visit place while in Adelaide. Not sure if it was the prefect time of the year but it looked really amazing.
The place was so vibrant with beautifully coloured trees.
You can spend a whole say here. Make sure you take mats and some food with you.
Parking was enough.
Might require some walk but not too much.
We spend around 2 hours here but couldn’t explore all of it.

Really enjoyed visiting these gardens. The different paths help you fill the time you have available. Also, getting a light irrigation sprinkle during a hot day is a perfect way to cool down.
