We are just back from a magnificent long weekend at Mount Lofty House. Mt Lofty House is a luxury hotel with many welcoming spaces to enjoy. Our rooms were beautiful and included everything you would expect in a luxury hotel. But what made our stay stand out is the 5 star service from the Mt Lofty House team. The staff made us genuinely feel welcome and that they were keen to deliver the long weekend stay we wanted. Our stay started with Shaun from Reservations putting together a package of activities and bookings tailored exactly to what we wanted to do. And then these happened effortlessly over the weekend. Thanks Shaun, it was a delight to work with you to put together our weekend. We loved the hotel history tour run by Chris, make sure you take it when staying. Chris made us feel very welcome anytime we saw him over the weekend. Thanks Chris, we are big fans of the champagne cocktails! Our weekend included some time at the fabulous Gatekeepers Day Spa. Thanks to Claire for an outstanding massage, it was the perfect way to end a day after walking in the Mt Lofty Summit national park nearby. We also want to say a big thank you to the staff in the Piccadilly Panorama breakfast restaurant who are delightful and made sure we enjoyed the delicious breakfast each day and the staff in the Hardy's Bar and Lounge for their warm service and tasty dinner. Staying at Mt Lofty House is a must-do luxury experience with all that the Adelaide Hills has to offer on your door step.

5* All around! Enjoy the great service and the amazing surroundings hiding behind the hills in Adelaide. Lots of great outdoor activities close by. The views are great, food is yummy, good drinks and very comfortable beds!

A five star experience. It's everything that you would expect and more. Staff were all amazing, welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and luxurious and there were a number of different areas to sit and relax. The views were spectacular and the dining was divine. We had a very enjoyable romantic weekend. Would highly recommend.

An amazing boutique five star hotel. The service was exceptional, the room beautiful. The staff are excellent, Gino did a little history tour for us and it was very informative and quite enjoyable. Breakfast was five star, with a few choices and many additions, plenty of juice and coffee options. I was disappointed in the dinner in the bar. The charcuterie board needed a wet ingredient like a cheese or dip. There was plenty of meat, but I would presume not many people would want just cured meat on a dry cracker or piece of bread. When asked, we were given a delicious pesto. $49 was too expensive for no cheese or fruits. The burger at $38 was on the high side too, with the patty at least a cm inside the bun. The fries were excellent. On departure we were given cookie and a book on Mt Lofty house. I great moments for my birthday.

Just spent 4 nights at mount Lofty and 3 nights at the sister resort Sequoia! Very hard to fault these exemplory resorts truly 5 star in every way!! From check in you are treated like royalty, and Sequoia is next level again. The views, the food and the service are second to none! The Adelaide hills is the perfect location with the city, beaches the wineries all within a 30-40 min drive. Highly recommended we will be back!!

What can I say, an exceptional stay. We had a truly wonderful, Christmastime experience. Aussie summer Christmas is beautiful, yet for two days it was cool on the Mountain and the clouds hovered giving that North American winter feel. Then the sun came out for the final two days so the best of both worlds. The staff are impeccable! Thank you Amelia, for an exceptional welcome! Shaun Watson is a legend who holds true knowledge and knows how to elegantly treat guests while being a resource for his staff. Attended here for the first time ever for a wedding. Such a gorgeous location with incredibly friendly staff. The internal design was amazing. Such a gorgeous venue.

Loved our stay here! The setting is stunning and exactly what we needed to end our trip in South Australia.

Bubbles (or Grapefruit Iced Tea) on arrival as we checked in. Chilled atmosphere throughout, and excellent service by all. The small touches across our stay were very welcome and just added to the experience.
Heated pool, history tour, cookies in room, coffee table book as you leave etc.

Breakfast was good, 2 days out of 3 consistent. I would say the single side of one small mushroom and one small plum tomato doesn’t add up to the generous sides of bacon or greens.

Dinner was a superb experience, expertly paired with local wines.
We will be back.

We just had dinner at the restaurant - which was excellent. It had a price tag to match - so it’s not a “budget gem”, it sets a 5-star expectation with a five star price and then definitely delivers on it.

Absolutely stunning place. The views are magnificent, and the landscape and gardens are just incredible. Great place to get away for lunch . Loved it. I think it will be a must to come back and stay a couple of nights and have dinner as well. The food we had and cocktails were excellent.

A fantastic midweek escape for us, stayed in the Coach House Loft, more like a couples apartment, would highly recommend booking this for a couple

Mt. Lofty House - historic, absolutely beautiful, so welcoming and so very comfortable. Thanks to the awesome Christopher, who with his own inimitable flair, gave a well-researched, humorous and interesting tour of the House, and the hotel’s story so far…

Christopher impressed with his passion and energy, and his obvious pride in being a part of something special. His welcome started us off on our stay for our special occasion celebration.

The hotel and gardens are magnificent, the Harry’s Verandah Restaurant (HVR) special with its panoramic views, and a good night’s sleep pretty much assured with great beds and super pillows. Re-charged for the day with a superb breakfast in HVR that was very generous in flavour, good coffee, and great surrounds. We will be back.

We stayed here after our wedding and it was absolutely perfect! The service is wonderful and so personal, the views are breathtaking, and the restaurant/bistro meals are superb! Highly recommend the afternoon tour too. There is so much you can enjoy about the hotel and surrounds during your stay without any need to leave the grounds for entertainment. We can’t wait to return!

To call this place incredible would be the understatement of the century! Along with the breathtaking views of the Mt Lofty Ranges, this beautiful house has managed to keep as much of its original historic features despite being gutted by bushfire some years ago. The restaurants serve mouth-watering food that is beautifully presented. The staff here are also extremely friendly and always have the biggest smiles on their faces. Today, I just visited this wonderful establishment as a tourist. However, I am sold on the idea of coming back to spend a few nights to take in all the beauty and glory this place has to offer!

Comfort in style! Creative food in a cozy space. Quiet surroudings and surprises all around. Encourages adventure and exploration.

Absolutely amazing, we stayed for one night dinner and breakfast was included, this place is a high quality place, from start to finish it’s an experience, best service, we had the welcome drinks with Christopher with the history tour, he makes the difference, his knowledge is amazing, he is everywhere making sure you are having the best time, I can’t stop talking about this place, we will definitely come back, 6 course dinner was amazing, breakfast was delicious, the signature drink strawberry and apple a must try, don’t think twice, book it, worth every $$!
