Mangana Olinda

I really love this shop, though it's more of an experience. It's crammed full of beautiful things that are hard to find anywhere else. It's a place where you can buy a brass compass, a hand carved chess board set, and writing sets complete with quills that have glorious plumage. Just look at the photos and imagine the way it smells; like leather, timber, and very faint incense. I only wish I could afford everything.

I had the pleasure of visiting Mangana again recently. The moment you walk through the doors you can feel it's a special place. I had the privilege of connecting with staff member Catee who I'm convinced is pure light personified in the form of a woman. She was generous enough to share her story with me, as I shared mine with her. She helped me navigate their beautifully curated collection, explaining the origin of each piece. I don't know if it's widely known, but the owner (whose name I've forgotten, but you're lovely!) travels to India and beyond to cultivate relationships with people to craft these incredible pieces by hand in their homes. Each piece is carefully selected, and those with any intuition whatsoever can feel the energy present in everything. I am devastated to be moving out of this area that I've loved and I encourage everyone to walk in and just allow yourself to be drawn to pieces.

This shop is truly amazing. So unique and so original, that you have never seen anything like this before, I am 90% sure about this. They have beautiful carpets, pictures, wall decorations, anything, probably everything what you shall buy for your new house. Style is a mix of steampunk, Istanbul, magic and much-much more. I believe They have some connection to Iran or Turkey because I have never seen such beautiful carpets like these before. Some board games and marine sextants can also be found here. If you desire, the staff will kindly help you in your decision.

Mangana is such a lovely hidden gem of a shop 😍!
From stunning journals with the most exquisite art works on them to chain mail head gear, compasses , ✨ a steam punk owl clock and a beautiful Yellow Submarine Beatless compass I purchased. I really enjoyed my time there and the staff were so kind and welcoming 🙏 😊

It's a really cute store with various stuff. Even if you don't buy anything, still worth to have a look inside, such as walking in a museum.

If your looking for a great variety of quirky, wonderful, beautiful, pretty or Bazaar then this is the place for you. It has everything from jewelry, uggs, rugs, lights & lamps, wood boxes and other beautiful things made of wood, clocks, chairs, masquerade masks, scarfs and SO much more. You will just have to visit to see for yourself what else they have to surprise you in wonder and delight.

Prettt pricy, but this place is a must-visit when travelling through Mt Dandenong. There are so many cool trinkets, models, gift ideas, furniture and other items. You can visit many times and still find something new and interesting on one of the shelves.

We always find mystical items! Once my dad bought a cool magnifying glass from this store. Today was a public holiday and shop was packed so it is very popular! Attached are some whimsical items I found while shopping in this cute antique store.

Mangana has very unique and beautiful home decor items from across the globe. Would certainly recommend them if you are looking for unique for home decor items.

Still as good as I remembered when I visited more than 10 years ago. Wonderful quaint shop with all kinds of vintage items. An attraction in its self in the Dandenong ranges.

Where do you start. Taken friends from interstate to Olinda. Funky shops, something for everyone. Mangana coffee table fits perfectly in the living room. Few pieces on my shopping list yet to call my place home

Great shop for a long browse. So many beautiful items in store. Staff are also lovely.

Pure magic...Visiting mangana is an outing in itself. I defy anyone to leave empty handed ( or at least have coveted something). Over the years I have purchased a set of pineapple lamps and a chair that converts to a ladder amongst other things. Last weekend I coveted the wall clock with cogs and the round drinks cabinet .

Great shop to wander around with an eclectic mix of wares.
Most of what I could see was reproduction items or rustic furniture etc from Indonesia or the likes.
I would definitely check the authenticity of “antique” items. I didn’t see a lot that was over 100 years old.
In saying that, the shop was really interesting, with walls, shelves and rooms jam packed with all manner of curious things.
Well worth a visit.
