Michael Hill Bourke Street, Melbourne Jewellery Store

I am visiting Melbourne - decided to go shopping for X-mas. Considered to pay Michael Hill a visit. The staff (who attended to me) was very friendly and extra helpful. They helped me with my request. Thank you very much. You went out of your way. Much appreciated.

Lan was an absolute saviour and so lovely. She took really good care of me when I explained I’d lost my necklace and was looking for a replacement. She showed empathy and went through many possible options searching for the specific necklace which sadly doesn’t exist anymore. I left feeling like she did the best she could and I really appreciated her kindness, knowledge and determination to help me 😊

I highly recommend the store to anyone because speaking with the service team helped me to get exactly what I was looking for. The lady here was so nice, she treated me very well. I like her customer service. Thanks.

I visited this store after my local Michael Hill store treated me so poorly I left in tears. My engagement ring was purchased at the CBD MH store through Wendy, who was fabulous, so I hoped they could help fix my issues with my care plan and paperwork after the Wendouree store neglected their services.

Derek (the store manager) could not have been nicer- he saw me walk in with a bundle of papers and could have instantly written me off as a problem customer! Instead he greeted me, had me sit down and took the time to listen- and he even apologised on behalf of the other store (who did not do the same I might add). Not only was Derek incredibly understanding, so were the other staff who overheard- all of them were incredibly kind and apologetic over how my fiancé and I had been treated. He explained how the paperwork needed to go from this point, fixed everything up and even ensured I'd have my ring replated and good as new in time for my wedding.

I had been determined to never ever set foot in a Michael Hill again, however Derek has definitely made it that I will ONLY shop at the CBD store. They're clearly the flagship store for a reason!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would, because that level of incredible professionalism and understanding for customers is just so rare to find now- thank you, thank you, thank you to Derek and the team.

My husband's HUMM account has been hacked and scammers purchased from this store a chain worth $17398. I nearly got a heart attack when I saw the money disappear from our joint account right in front of my eyes. I called HUMM and they tried to put a blame on my husband for doing something wrong or clicking the link, which was totally untrue and wrong.

So, I decided to call this store directly and these guys were absolutely fantastic!!! Staff immediately took my details and contacted the manager and reassured me that they will not proceed with this purchase. Next morning I spoke with the manager Derek (hope it's correct spelling) and he has already contacted the HUMM to stop this transaction.
He explained that MHJ stores have a strict policy of checking person's credentials when picking up goods. Thanks to the stuff and particularly Derek who again contacted HUMM, and managed to immediately reverse the payment.

My 8y.o daughter had some birthday money to spend and the pair or earrings she really wanted were out of our price range. We left the store promising to find her some she had enough money for. While crossing the road one of the stores beautiful sales attendants chased after us and confirmed the store manager had been approached and had approved her purchase for the amount of money she had, saying they wanted her to have the earrings she really wanted. So incredibly generous and such wonderful service. We will be back!

Went in to buy an engagement ring and I was really nervous, and wasn’t sure where to start. Wendy came in and helped me through everything she was amazing, so friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Went to Michael Hill today for an engagement ring.
I was greeted by the manager Derek who was very friendly and helpful I was looked after very well. I told him what I was looking for and he was wonderful. He introduced me to Hans the salesperson and told him what I was looking for.
Hans was so kind and wonderful service he showed me two gorgeous rings and both fitted me perfectly. Being a size m or n it's hard to find rings my size. The ring I purchased is absolutely gorgeous and looks beautiful on my finger

I recommend any one to shop at Michael Hill in Bourke St mall Melbourne the service and staff are fantastic and Derek is so lovely

Great range of products, good service. I brought my daughter ear rings here they were heavily reduced which was great!!

We were helped by Selina and we had a fantastic experience. She was so kind and very knowledgeable about the rings we were looking at. She was also not pushy at all and was delighted that we got what we wanted even though it was on the lower price range. Definitely ask for her if you go in, you’ll leave happy.

Beyond incredible customer service!
Derek and the team were able to help my partner and I choose an engagement ring and get it sorted and to us, with a short turnaround time due to our circumstances. I have been to other Michael Hill stores, but the customer service and attention to detail provided by Derek and his team is second to none.

I can't say enough about the staff at this shop. My husband bought me a beautiful solitaire diamond - total surprise and encouraged by the lovely Mia. I then decided I would like an enhancer ring to set off the solitaire. Service in my home town of Canberra made me feel inferior with my first visit to the shop and then when I tried to order over the phone advised not possible. Bourke Street provided the ring within a short time frame, no hassles and exactly what I wanted. The staff are all lovely and accommodating and don't make me feel like I am not worthy. Melbourne you rock and we will be back.

Read all these comment but to be honest most people who are complaining are your usual complainers. Who complain about weather being too hot or cold.
Never even once had a bad experience at Michael hill ever! I have been going there for a few years now.
I also work in retail and I know how some people just do whatever they can to get free stuff. A little inconvenience and straight to writing negative comments.
So please go to the shop and experience the customer service yourself!!

I purchased my rings for my engagement and wedding for my partner and i from derek and his team. Not only his team deliver on time, they also went above and beyond to chase after the jeweller to make sure it arrive in time for both my engagement and wedding. I put the cart before the horse, yesterday. I proposed to my boyfriend without a ring. It was our first year anniversary. At 6pm tonight we went to MHJ Bourke/Swanston. Given that this is the first time retail has opened to the public I wanted to acknowledge the service of Derek who welcomed us into his store. But I want to give a huge shoutout to Desina (I hope I got her name right). Her service was absolutely impressive. Thank you so much for making this experience soooo special.

The staff at this Michael Hill go above and beyond when it comes to customer service, went in and almost immediately I was assisted by the friendly staff. This has to be one of the best jewelry stores I have been to and it is well kept and spotless not even a single mark on the glass and flawless service. I can't recommend it any more than this.
