Great little Italian woodfire pizzeria. Food was tasty and affordable while the service was great. The only minor nitpick was the aranchini were pretty bland.

The margarita pizza was definitely the standout for me. The crust was crispy and chewy, and the sauce had a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. The cheese was melted to perfection and the basil on top added a nice, fresh touch. It was clear that the kitchen takes great care in using fresh, high-quality ingredients in their dishes.

What's even better is that this pizza bar is open late at night, making it the perfect spot for a late-night snack. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with plenty of seating options to choose from. It's a great place to grab a slice with friends after a night out.

But what really set this pizza bar apart was the excellent customer service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience. Whether it was making recommendations for toppings or checking in to see if we needed anything else, they really made us feel taken care of.

Been here twice now before gigs at the Northcote Theatre. Absolutely fantastic!!! Great service and beautiful food. Woodfire pizzas are awesome and home made pastas are like nonna would make. Highly recommend!!

Dined here for the first time recently and the food was amazing! The meditarranean pasta was so rich and tasty and was a good sized portion.
Also had the bruschetta as a side and the dough was amazing. Such great quality food and good sizes for the price; will definitely be coming back!

Edit: Have been back twice more since then (above) and it seriously is my favourite restaurant at the moment. The pasta is the best and the donut sticks with nutella are incredible. Please keep up the good quality and portions.

Anytime someone speaks about pizza in Melbourne, I always recommend them to this incredible gem on High St. Just a place where you know they put their heart and soul into the food provided for you, and to top it off I have had some of the most memorable nights of my life laughing and chatting with the incredible staff. Support local and visit this beautiful ristorante!

I really feel like I’m transported to Italy every time I step in to Tempo. The atmosphere, the pizza, the friendly service is all consistently 5 stars in my eyes. There’s no better pizzeria in Melbourne for me. I can’t recommend a particular item on the menu because everything is fantastic. In saying that, I can never go past the homemade tiramisu, and their trademark Tempo pizza is always mouthwatering. Highly recommend with a reasonably priced menu as well.

The pizzas are AMAZING!! Definitely recommend! The fig pizza is officially in season and so delicious...you should order that with a side of Dominico... you will thank me later when you try it. Looking forward to my next visit!

Dom is so friendly and the restaurant is very trustworthy. They always gets my order of pizza with vegan cheese right which I appreciate so much as someone with a dairy allergy. Highly recommend and will continue to revisit again and again.

The pizza is great. I love the toppings and the pizza base is the best.
Sometimes they let the crust burn a bit too much but this is just a heads up not a complaint.
Just ignore people complaining about the toppings not distributed respecting a Gaussian distribution, be happy order a pizza there and enjoy a nice talk with the staff. I’m a local, and their pizza is the best for my taste.

Best Italian in Northcote. Have probably had half the items on the menu and yet to be disappointed.

The gnocchi in particular is just the best. Also recommend the pear pizza. It’s small and the service is friendly and quick.

Great vegan options, gelato, excellent cocktails. Please do not come here as I like coming here and would rather you not book it out.

Can’t rave enough about Tempo! The food is delicious and Dominico (the chef) even considers your unique tastes! He suggested adding his own homegrown chilli oil which really elevated the flavours! Incredible food, incredible service, incredible value!

Had takeaway last night for the first time and kicking myself for ordering pizza anywhere else all the time I've lived nearby!! Loved the softer, chewy sourdough crust. The sourdough fettuccine, obviously handmade which is why you might have to pay extra for it, reminded me a little of hand cut Chinese noodles. The tomatoes are more on the acidic side (probably good to know if you are prone to reflux), but it makes the red sauce pizzas really sharply flavoured and I think it matches their thicker style of dough well. The pizza and pasta here is just really tasty, like eating at nonnas house, and unique in melbourne. It may not be exactly what you expect but im personally so glad to have found Tempo and not just another cookie cutter, overly fancy and overpriced pizzeria. Pizza and pasta is historically peasant food so holding it to a singular elite standard makes zero sense, and cuts out any room for diversity and regionality.
Even though I over ate because it was so tasty, I actually feel pretty good the next day which makes me believe their sourdough is properly fermented and thus easier to digest. The only problem is I don't have enough money for a plane ticket back to Italy because now i'm really missing the local trattorias! Thanks Tempo, stay true!! ❤

We were searching for some almost-midnight food after a birthday bar crawl & too many birthday Espresso Martinis. We were starving, hangry, a little bit tipsy, and needed food asap to round off my birthday celebrations before we had to resort to a 7/11 pie.

It was almost 12am, but they still welcomed us and said everything on the menu was available! It was delicious and amazing and absolutely hit the hangry spot. The home made fettuccini was sooo good, and the goats cheese on the salad - amazing. They even split the meals into equal portions at our request, so we could share the dishes.

The staff were also super lovely to us and didn't rush us out, even though they were closing. Thank you so much for the birthday yums and we'll be back again!!!
