A truly delightful experience.

We ordered a selection of shared dishes.

Food: Each dish has been curated with careful thought and care - the depth of flavours were remarkable. Some stand out dishes were the heirloom zucchini and the tuna tartare.

Service: attentive end to end. Our server was fun, considerate and had excellent wine recommendations to pair with our dishes.

Atmosphere: kitchen bar seating was a great experience - it was great watching the food being prepared. Lovely ambience overall.

We ordered a Chef Selection which has a very nice mic and balanced dishes.

The main course lamb is very good as well.

Although the dessert is a little small, me and my friend has a lovely dining experience.

Simply outstanding! You have to have a lot of confidence in the quality of your fish to serve large chunks in tuna tartare. It’s easier to hide mediocre fish when the pieces are small. The chef’s confidence in this case was well placed as the quality was superb. The meat on the lamb shoulder was cooked perfectly and fell off the bone. The portions provided in the tasting menu were generous.

We sat at the kitchen bar and enjoyed both the view and very attentive service.

15 years cumulus has been around, and it's a Miley Cirus culinary earworm for me. I can't come to Melbourne and miss the opportunity to see its gentle evolution. But it never strays far from the formula. Terrific, ingredient driven collages of flavour. Never a bargain, but always a place that you want to return to, even before you leave. Don't look to me to tell you what you should order. No need. Whatever you fancy will come out and surprise and delight.

This was our first meal in Melbourne and for sure this lived up to the city’s reputation.

Other than over ordering our food, everything we had was great. The lamb shoulder was particularly impressive, so was the John Dory.

Also don’t miss the roasted potatoes. I’ll come with more people next time.

A truly amazing meal. The course was a bit large but the lamb shoulder was probably the best roast I’ve ever had. But even aside from that, the other dishes were hits as well.

Wonderful restaurant, food was fantastic the lamb and the pie were stand outs. Service was warm and attentive. Vibe is very Melbourne and we enjoyed it very much. Lived up to my expectations.

Amazing food and service!
Had our first meal in melbourne here and it didn’t disappoint.
Octopus was perfectly cooked with fresh seasoning, the lamb was to die for and rmb to leave room for desserts.

The Tuna Tartare was a mesmerizing introduction to the meal. The impeccably fresh tuna, delicately paired with goat's curd, green pea, and mint, created a symphony of flavors that danced on the palate. The combination of textures and the bright, refreshing notes from the mint showcased Cumulus's commitment to sourcing top-quality ingredients and crafting dishes with finesse.

The Fremantle Octopus continued to captivate my taste buds. Tender and expertly prepared, the octopus seamlessly blended with kipfler potato, chilli, and olive tapanade, offering a medley of tastes that unfolded with every forkful. The balance of heat from the chilli and the richness from the olive elevated this dish to a sublime gastronomic experience.

One of the best restaurants in Melbourne ✨

The food was amazing, every combination of flavour is well executed which makes amazing plates. For me, the tuna tartare was one of those, the lamb was falling off the bone and melting in the mouth.

The service was top notch, we were a table of five and we were very well looked after - they even accommodated the dessert for me that doesn't like coconut.

Tuna tart was outstanding. Fresh and rat like sashimi. Sauce and pea were great and creative combinations. 5 stars

Fremantle octopus was creative and great twist. We particularly addicted to the octopus. 5 stars

Serving within 5 minutes upon ordering.

Sitting at the bar was indeed a great pleasure to watch the bar tender to prepare the martini so patience and slice by slice deco. Great job

came here with my bestie as a lil bday treat! the service from staff was amazing, super friendly and explained the items throughly + attentive. the lights are dim, interior is clean. a bit cramped when busy.

the food itself was well seasoned, fresh and all had an interesting element such as dry age, goats curd or special glazes. the presentation is v pretty and added to the experience !!! i recc the dry aged duck, anchovies and oysters :3

Tuna tartare, goat's curd, green pea, mint: the tuna is cut to much larger pieces that you would normally expect from a tartare, but this dish tasted super fresh! Great flavours 😍😍.

Abrolhos Island scallop, yuzu kosho, cucumber: party in your mouth flavours here! The yuzu sauce gave the scallops a nice tangy taste ☺☺.

Fremantle octopus, pink fir potato, chilli, olive: the octopus was nicely done - not chewy at all! Really yummy!

Baker Bleu sourdough: can't go wrong with this sourdough 🤤🤤.

1.2kg Slow roasted lamb shoulder, almond, red pepper - half serve: we had to get a half serve because we wanted to try more dishes, and even this was huge! The lamb was so perfectly cooked that it just fell off the bone super easily 🤤🤤. Not gamey at all, and so delicious 😋😋.

Grilled flounder with a buttery sauce on a bed of kale: the sauce was so buttery!! The fish was also super tender. Perfect flavours 😍😍.

Side dish: Farm leaves, sherry vinaigrette.

Chocolate pot, hazelnut praline, chantilly: nice and light, not too sweet - great way to end the me, especially after the heavier mains!

Honestly one of the best restaurants in Melbourne

Up there with the likes of gimlet, ides, Phillippe, vu de monde, reine and la rue etc

Staff are super knowledgeable and the food is decadent, won't be long before you need to book weeks in advance with this kind of quality

I went here for a private event upstairs. So this review is for an event. I hadn’t been here from such a long time. But I remember how amazing it was last time and this time was just as amazing. Food incredible. Service impeccable. Wines to match the meals, perfect. Thanks.

One of the most iconic and loved restaurants in Melbourne. The quality is always high no matter what, and you know you'll always get looked after whenever you come.

The highlights from this meal were the Black Angus Porterhouse, the Potato's (as usual) and the biggest surprise being the Rum Baba (which has now become a must order for me).

Premium food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Came here for a Friday lunch pre Xmas and had a very pleasant experience from quality of food to the great service.

We ordered a smorgasbord of items, including oysters, calamari, scallops and mussels. Everything was delicious and quality of seafood was top notch. Wine was well recommended and complemented food perfectly.

Overall atmosphere was fairly casual for a up market restaurant which suited us perfectly.

Nothing to dislike about Cumulus. The food is fabulous, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the atmosphere while a tad noisy is fun.
Special shout out to James our waiter/sommelier. Absolutely amazing service by this young and friendly dude.

I recently shoot a wedding reception here and I have to say there 's a reason why it's the most sought restaurant in Melbourne!

A gorgeous, contemporary look with a touch of its own character that sets it apart from other restaurant / event venues. The color palette is just stunning and makes for some seriously beautiful photos.

And of course, the food, just as important as the style of the venue, is top-notch!

If you're planning your wedding reception here, trust me, your guests will be blown away! You won't regret it :)
