18 Footers Bar, Restaurant & Cafe

Well, here it is, a *top 5% café* in Double Bay, and conveniently right next to the city-bound ferry. Isn't it amazing how a 'hole in the wall' coffee shop can brew up consistently brilliant coffee, and with it house a muchly cheerful crew who can still smile and chat regardless of the weather, etc. Tasty food too and just look at the arty coffee cups 'not made from paper'; not plastic or any other nasty either. Stop by ... you'll be a winner for the day.

I cannot think of a better venue for a gathering. It has been three years (and a whole pandemic) since all our boys left school. So, the 18 Footers was the perfect place for a long overdue parent reunion.

Despite the inclement weather, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We had 50 people and the venue was small enough to feel intimate yet spacious enough to mingle easily.

We didn't have to take a mortgage to have a night out in Sydney with yummy canapés that was substantive and reasonably priced drinks. Absolutely perfect. I'm still getting rave reviews from parents today.

The staff were amazing especially with my many, many requests. A big shout out to Dana, Jade and Jorge along with all of the staff that I didn't capture the name of. Amazing. Thank you everyone for a memorable evening.

The venue was fantastic and having access to the big screen during racing made the catch up with interstate friends a wonderful experience. The Seafood Choder and Beef Burgers were great value for money.

Fantastic lunch (as usual) celebrating a friend’s birthday.
Views aside, the staff really are fantastic, specially Maria who’s been there as long as I’ve been a member.
Food’s always fresh, generous serves (vegies included which is rare these days) & very reasonable prices.
I had the chowder for the first time in a couple of years & unfortunately it tasted very ‘floury’

It is an amazing venue with an incredible view when outside. The food was moderate speed to be made. It was a good menu and lovely environment. Great for: gatherings, sports, going to a bar and amazing food. Service was alright to the table although they could have visited us a bit more. Wish I had some photos to share of the outside area with a beautiful harbour and wharf view. Overall good but a bit pricy

Relaxed atmosphere. Great food. Great service. Terrific views. Ferry right at the doorstep. But you do pay for food and drinks separately.

Had an amazingly great lunch with friends and the high level of food quality was beyond belief and the service was excellent , not to mention the sea views , love it :)

Great location! An amazing spot to enjoy a few drinks and a bite to eat overlooking the bay.

Love this club as a great place to eat or just relax in the lounge or on the deck. Don't have to be a member to eat in the restaurant but do have to be signed in or member for bar or lounge. New furniture for the lounge area is an improvement to a lovely space

Great food, awesome service. You need to sign in at the door. Ferry stop right outside the door. Tap beers and cider all to be enjoyed either at the restaurant tables or the lounge bar area.

Been here a few times for a toastie. What I love is they let full grown adults order the kids toastie (sometimes you just need a small snack). Super friendly staff. Haven’t tried the coffee but heard good things. Keep up the good service :)

We had my 50th there on Saturday. We chose the functions finger food menu with unlimited bar.

The service, food, atmosphere and location was amazing.

We had our own section and shared the deck

Fab spot in Double Bay. Great menu, staff are friendly. The clientelle is generally on the mature side, and don't be surprised if you get trivia night thrown I to the deal! I prefer to go for lunch and sit by the window and watch the boats out in the bay.

From my inaugural visit to Cafe 18 I felt joy. Beautiful smiles, fabulous coffee, paperless cups, banter and laughter. Ernesto and his exotic helpers offer professional and efficient service. They remember my name always, along with the army of other frequenters. The pastries are eye watering and tastebud dreamy. The location is perfect for those needing serenity and a shot of nature/natural energy!

Beautiful spot to get a bite to eat and sit on the beach and enjoy the harbour view. Great friendly service, amazing tasting Rueben toasted sandwich and the coffee was the best strong skinny latte I've had in Sydney so far!! lovely

Great casual cafe dining with a beautiful view

A fantastic little cafe with outstanding coffee, high quality pastries and great customer service with a lot of attention to detail. The blend for espresso coffees is perfect as well, a rare thing in Sydney!
Highly recommend grabbing a cuppa and a treat and sitting by the water.
