Rottnest Island Laundry (Thomson Bay)

It was convenient and easy to use. They had a laundry powder dispenser there.
The machines worked and they had driers there as well. It was soo convenient.

Easy to use facility with 4 washing machines and 2 dryers. 2 washing machines even take contactless payment!
Machines are all in good working order and can take large loads.
The is a washing powder dispenser as well. The only thing to make it better would be a change machine in the building. Instead one has to go to the visitors centre (about a 10 minute walk either way) to get cash out and change.

It's open 24/7 days a week. A little hard to find if you don't know where it is at night (motion sensor light that turns on when you walk into it).

It takes credit card (tap) but if your going to use cash make sure that you have 2 dollar coins for the washer and 1 roller coins for the dryers (dryers don't take credit cards)

You can buy detergent (soap powder) here too.

Unfortunately, there is no change machine so make sure you have the change you need.

Basic laundromat with 3x coin washing machines and 1x contactless card payment washing machine and 2x coin operated dryers.
All washing machines are $6 per load and dryers are $3 per 15 mins
There is also a washing powder dispenser for $2 each

We showed up and you need a two dollar coin for wash detergent.

When we got here the service people we leaving and the wash detergent was empty and it looks like it been empty for several days as people have left notes about no detergent.

They have one washing machine that takes credit card but all others take coins.

Don’t rely on your phone for contactless payment, bring your debit/credit card.
