Destiny Point Cafe

If you are visiting the Dandenongs, you cannot go wrong parking in the Kalorama lookout, enjoy the view and then walk across the road to Destiny Point cafe. The staff are lovely, the service is very brisk, the menu is amazing, with several Vegan options, and the building interior is furnished with some amazing antique Oriental museum pieces and paraphernalia, while out the back there is a delightful bonsai collection that is definitely worth an inspection, even if only on the way to the bathroom. I came with some overseas visitors for lunch and we all left with a very good impression. Will definitely come back again for more.

Lovely little cafe and super fast service when it comes to coffee. The staff are so, so friendly as well! Some items are a little expensive (expect to pay double for the juice compared to the supermarket) but all-in-all, quite a pretty place to put up your feet and catch up with friends. It's conveniently also near a lot of trails and viewing points.

The waitress who served us was amazing her name was Jessica, very kind and nice.. the food was great too! I had the soup of the day and my daughter had the scones, very very delicious 😋

Nice little cafe. Nice scone and friendly staff. I went there on a rainy day and it was pretty busy around lunch time. Would definitely be over crowded on a sunny day and you would need to book in advance for sure. Nice stop before or after walking around Dandenong. Also nice view form the main car park.

Great spot with a nice view for breakfast or lunch. Had an impromptu visit as we passed through to Olinda. My friend had the scones and said it was really good while I had the delicious new mango smoothie. Owners were also super friendly

A great little Cafe with a fantastic view. Food was pretty good, had some vegan ootions and some blankets for the colder days if you want to sit outside. If you're in to bonsai trees there's about 20 in the back to have a look at as well.

Extra point for a very nice oriental theme: ornament, book, paintings, bonsai, etc

The owner also acts like a volunteer tour guide for the area. He let us know where to go and what to see to get the most out of our day.

It's an great cafe with one of the best views in mount Dandenong area. The food was surprisingly good. We tried the vegetarian lasagne and salami panino , they both were awesome. The coffee was great too. They is a very pretty Japanese (if i am not wrong) garden on their backyard, lot's of bonsai and many other plants and decorations. We did a bit of quick tracking around it, was very refreshing. If you walk a bit around the place, the view and feel is very enjoyable.

Amazing spot and surrounding outlook. Friendly staff and tasty food. Grab a cuppa and enjoy the scenery or enjoy the freshly made scones. Better yet, why not have all.

Out for a drive in the Dandenong Ranges and dropped in to Destiny Point Cafe.
A lovely little place, with inside and outside dining with a view.
On the day we winged it for brunch, but filled quickly after our arrival. If more than 2, suggest you book ahead as it seems quite popular.
Coffees where good and food came after a short wait, considering it was busy.
Staff where nice and inviting.
We look forward to returning for the Devonshire Tea, as it too looked yummy. 😀

This place has become my favourite Cafe in Vic. Great coffee, excellent service, wonderful decor. See the lovely bonsai garden at the back. My wife tells me the pancakes 🥞 were very nice. Perfect stop if you are hiking around the area or just driving by. Strongly recommended.

What a welcome stop. Friendly staff. Good value for very yummy dishes. Great location. What a view. Excellent mid Drive stop Best on the corner cafe. Just watch your step crossing the road. A bit of a blind spot both ways. The bonsai collection has to be one of the best. Have to check it out.

Such a lovely scenic setting for a very inviting cafe! The scones were absolutely delightful and the service is super friendly. Big breakfast was generous and the coffees were perfect! Would be back here for sure! What an asset to the local community.
