Lovely accommodations, nice house, warm wood fire, great atmosphere. we love the farm tour, the part where we were in the centre surrounded with sheep, dog Billy and owner Tim helping us with sheep was the height. We had great time over there staying the night and had the farm tour. Definitely recommend.

Spent a night at the Over The Back Cottage, and it was a highly recommended farm stay in Tassie. If I could give it 6 stars, I would definitely do so!

The accommodation was lovely, and special thanks to Tim, Jane and Billy for their warm hospitality and for showing us around the farm.

The highlight of our stay was definitely with the sheeps, made even more magical by a rainbow we were fortunate enough to capture in the background.

Friendly staff, remote and away from the bustling city life.

Our 5yr son enjoyed his stay, we fed chickens, saw the yak, and walked to the lake.

Overall we had the best good night sleep in a very long while.

We stumbled across Curringa Farm while planning our road trip around Tassie. Situated just 70km from Hobart, the farm is massive and had lots of different animals roaming freely.

The room was just perfect - large floor-to-ceiling windows giving you amazing views, lots of amenities provided in the room (just bring your own food to cook) and the bed was so comfy. Would have booked an additional night if we had known how awesome the place was. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Thank you to Jane, Nino, Tim and Pippa for making us feel so welcome and arranging a private sheep shearing session for us. The scones, jam and coffee we had after was lovely. Billy and Locky were just the sweetest dogs and we miss them already. Thank you again, we will definitely be back!

I have stayed here twice and it was a fantastic experience both times. Great river side location with nice views over forested hills. Interesting birds and other wildlife. Rooms were very clean and lots of facilities provided. I love their farm management plan, what a nice balance of production and conservation. Top notch. We will be back!

What a delightful stay on our way across the island! Beautiful and serene, looking down over the river and out over the hills, with wildlife and sheep roaming about. Make sure you have a vehicle that can stand a lengthy dirt driveway! Comfortable and clean accommodation, and great service - a hiccup with our booking was quickly and thoughtfully resolved. Would definitely recommend if you're heading across and don't want to do the hours of driving in one shot!

One of the best stays that we ever had! Booked the seagle room and the view is amazing. After you get your keys from the reception, we drove about 5-10 minutes to get to our accommodation. There is a bathtub in the room, although the spa wasn’t working we did have a good bath! Saw some sheep outside our window too. There’s some cereal in the room and a bottle of milk. There’re some pasta and rice too. Bring your own food to cook or you can request for some food to be prepared for you so it will be ready for you upon arrival. Five star view, very comfortable and very clean! Will definitely be back.

We stayed here for a few nights recently. It was so peaceful. It was our favourite place that we stayed at during our Tassie holiday. The farm tour was fantastic and we got to feed highland cows.

My husband and I always have a farm dream, after we have our first kid, we just super keen to bring him to a farm stay

Curringa farm was the place that was not disappointed us, it has spectacular view, much nicer than its website view, super clean tiny house, and cute animals. My 2 year old son absolute love to just staring the sheep bahhh bahhhh around our tiny house, and he was amazed about little chickens running around and the tractors

It was just amazing everywhere and we feel two night wasn’t enough!! Will come back later

We stayed in brobrook and it’s 2 bedder over look the mountain

(Btw jane’s raspberry jam was very 🤤 delicious, worth to get a jar or two after check out!)

What a lovely place to spend the night. Surrounded by sheep and nothing else. No WiFi so completely disconnected from daily routine. Jane and Tim are amazing hosts and although not pre-booked I could join them for a bbq dinner.

Please be aware the farm is a bit isolated. There is a small grocery store (IGA express) in Ouse but that’s it. Bring something to eat and to drink yourself. Eggs, bacon, bread, jan, cereals, milk en oj are provided in the cottage for breakfast.

Our recent stay at Curringa Farm was nothing short of magical and relaxing! It was the perfect home away from home for our little family with a Portacot provided and all the in room amenities needed. The farm itself is an incredible oasis of animals and scenery. Our kids loved wandering the farm engaging with chickens, sheep, horses, wallabies and an echidna. We could not recommend staying there enough!

I recently visited Curringa Farm for the second time and stayed for two nights. It was a wonderful experience. The environment was peaceful, and I was able to connect with nature in a way that I rarely get to in my daily life. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they recommended that I visit Mount Field National Park, which was absolutely breathtaking.

One of the highlights of my stay was the food package. The milk was incredibly fresh and delicious, and I loved the steak. Overall, I had a fantastic time at Curringa Farm and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway.

Thank you to the staff at Curringa Farm for making my stay such a memorable one!

My boyfriend and I had a great time at Curringa Farm. The room is so nice, comfortable and cozy. A perfect place for you to escape from city. Only one hour driving from Hobart city. We will definitely come back again! Looking forward to the next stay.

Second trip back to Curringa Farm, amazing place to come back to! Pristine night skies, beautiful farm land, sheeps bleating as you drive to your cottages near the River Derwent to stay the night.

Tim & Jane were also very hospitable and the morning farm tour brought us around the estate, seeing highland cattle, live sheep herding, wild pademelons & wallabies. Adding to that, the farm tour ends with a live sheep shearing experience by Tim and awesome scones baked fresh by Jane before we headed back to Hobart!

Truly a beautiful place to stay, rest and enjoy

My family and friends recently celebrated a Birthday at Curringa Farm. We all had the most amazing weekend. Starting with a wonderful lunch in the beautiful Tour Centre Cafe ,catered for by the lovely Curringa staff, we then moved on into the Farm where everyone had accommodation that exceeded all expectations. Jane and Tim were so friendly and helpful and I cannot thank them, and their staff, enough for helping to create the most memorable weekend on their picturesque Farm.

Returned In June for our 5th Stay at Curringa Farm. We stayed in Wedge tail Wings - 2 bedroom Cabin ( our go to favorite).
Each Cabin on the property offers unique and magical views and are well isolated from each other.
Its an absolute retreat away from the hustle and bustle of busy life.
Absolutely recommend the Food (both dinner and breakfast) packages which takes all the thinking out of the stay. Each Cabin is immaculately presented, warm and cozy with the wedge tail offering an indoor fire.
Both Tim and Jane are always accommodating and welcoming hosts along with all their staff. The farm animals Chickens, Alpaca's, horses and Highland Cows were a daily visit for us. Close to Mount Field. We will continue to support such an amazing farmstay. We have found our happy place!

We stayed in the studio Blue Wren. This was an amazing experience. Luxury from the moment we walked in. Comfy bed, huge bath, well-equipped kitchen, coffee pod machine, comfy couch, bbq, quiet, natural surroundings in the middle of the paddock, sheep, and the huge windows have views to die for. This place is a real luxury, try to stay more than 1 night. Thanks to Tim and Jane and the staff for the great service.

We absolutely loved our stay at Curringa Farm, after the helpful staffed noticed we had booked a room that wouldn't suit us they spoke to us and changed it to a much more suited space! We stayed in the beautiful Blue Wren suite, we loved the beautiful view, the amenities including lovely bath tub, the dinner and breakfast baskets and enjoyed seeing nearby sights. Absolutely beautiful ❤
