Mount Morgan Silver Wattle Caravan Park

Dave & Debbie are very friendly and their park is the only place I'll stay in Mount Morgan. I love the grounds, the facilities and the camp kitchen is one of the best. Thanks again guys. See you again one day soon hopefully

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was one of the best camp grounds in qld. Not for the fact it has 50 different amenities, but because it feels like a home away from home. We camped in our swag here but the amenities were exceptionally clean and well equipped. Clean freaks will adore this place. It is worth noting that is not ideal for children as it is not set up for them. It’s more aimed towards nomads and couples. It is comfortable and Dave and Debbie are wonderful hosts. This is a great spot on the South side of Mount Morgan, just 10 minutes away from town.

I camped for two days at an unpowered site. I was the only camper there, so I pretty much had that whole area to myself. It was very peaceful. At night I could hear the local wildlife, such as possums, roaming around. Very relaxing.

Apparently this is the quiet season, so it may get busier at different times of the year.

The owners, Dave and Debbie, are very friendly. They were both away when I first arrived, but Debbie's sister kindly let me pick out a spot and pay the following day when the owners were back.

I had a great time here and would definitely return again.

What a great caravan park. Plenty of charm. Dave and Debbie have done a wonderful job. Toilets and showers are very clean. The afternoons are a great get together around the fire. Would certainly stay there again.

What a wonderful weekend my daughters and I had camping at Silver Wattle. Debbie and Dave make you feel like part of their family. It is a nice park with lots of rustic charm. The facilities are spot on. Large showers and very clean and well maintained. The camp kitchen is well equipped for every thing you need and from end of April until September they do happy hour around the fire - Deb cooks some yummy nibbles and there is even a fun raffle on sat night. It was great to meet new people and we have decided to go back when we have a spare weekend free. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding.

Some 19 vans stayed at this Caravan Park for our Caravan Club branch muster. My wife and I have stayed at this park on a number of occasions and Debi and Dave excelled again. Always friendly and helpful hosts. The park has a lot of memorabilia strategically placed around the park that certainly struck some interest with our members. Great Park, Great Hosts and Great location.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Silver Wattle Caravan Park in Mt Morgan. We found the owners Dave and Debbi both to be very friendly and helpful. Our site was beautiful and shady. The park is well maintained and has interesting memorabilia showcased around the park. The amenities are and kept clean. No doubt we will be back again.

We are in our caravan. Great site. Amenities were the cleanest we have encountered on our journeys. This caravan park is a hidden gem. Well done to the staff & owners 👍👍

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The owners were fabulous, gave us 4 fresh chook eggs on arrival, the powered sites were large and had lush grass. Amenities spotless, relics around the gardens making it an interesting place. Two piece band entertained us at happy hour for two nights while we sat around the camp fire, Deb made delicious home made spring rolls and damper served with butter and golden syrup, next night home made pizza. Absolutely terrific caravan park 👏 👌

One of the best caravan parks we have stayed in over the last 2 months. Hosts are welcoming and helpful. Appreciated the eggs on arrival. The park is well maintained and interesting. Best camp kitchen and enjoyed the camp fire in the evening. Highly recommend.

Definitely one of the most hospitable and accommodating hosts you will ever meet on the road! You’re gonna know what I mean if you stay and see!

Great caravan park. Well lit at night, very clean amenities. Sites are roomy and well kept.

We have stayed in cabins in Van parks with our dog all over Queensland and I have no hesitation in rating this place as the best of all of them. The clean, tidy, and spacious Cabin we have stayed in invites rest and provides a "home away from home" feeling with everything provided.
However, the effectiveness of anywhere you stay depends entirely on the service you receive. Debi and David provide a welcoming reception and friendly efficient service... much better than most in our experience! As well the park is adorned with "old wares" that bring back memories of times past... it is rewarding just to walk around and recognise the essential items from the past which are now interesting adornments.

Very lovely place. Very clean and quiet. Debbie and Dave are great!

This is a gem of a caravan park. Small clean, attractive and great value. But that isn’t my main appreciation- it was how I was treated when things went wrong. I arrived late - no problem. Had to stay hitched - no problem. Car wouldn’t start on checkout - no problem! Dave found me a local diesel mechanic (Nate - what a champion!) who fixed my cruiser. The kindness shown to me here will stay with me for a very long time. Thanks Dave & Debbie.

Quirky park with terraced sites. Very outback style decor around the park and happy hour area and camp kitchen. Lovely owners.

Great park run by 2 great hosts Stayed twice and loved it. Deb and Dave are very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the campfire evening Highly recommend would stay again Make sure u visit the museums and railway station well worth it
