The Lighthouse Beachfront Accommodation

This was the most beautiful winter beachfront stay. House was big enough for two families easily and it’s right on the beachfront. I can only imagine how amazing it would be in summer and warmer months, however we were toast warm with instant ducted heating. Short walk to the local pub and the excellent Port Hughes General Store for coffee and breakfast rolls.

Our recent stay at the Lighthouse was nothing short of amazing! The house is BIG and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The best part is definitely those gorgeous views and even though it was winter, watching the storm roll in was perfect! We can't wait to return!

Excellent value for family groups and friends. Close to local tavern , fantastic views of the ocean.A place to relax and refresh mind and body. Great for kids as well.

Large enough for up to 14 people plenty of room,1ensuite, 2bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen , BBQ facility, TV's, toys for the kids , was disappointed that the kitchen fridge had a stale prawn smell and the kitchen floor was grimy needed a good wash. All tiled areas needed to be cleaned ,some of the door's to certain cupboards need replacing the whole place could do with a detailed clean or paint.

Bins were full and stinking of fish when we arrived and not picked up for 4 days of our stay, BBQs were filthy, washing machine filter was overflowing, cigarette butts left in a full ashtray, TVs reception was non existent and its 2024 and no wifi?

Quite a bit of false advertising here! the back lawn was knee-high and soaking wet. Hasn't been mowed for months. Very difficult to even walk in, not a nice area with some dog pooh already in it that we had to clean. And difficult to keep dog paws dry. The photos show some chaise lounges and a coffee maker that do not exist and there is absolutely nothing in the pantry, so even the absolute basic fundamentals like oil and alfoil, have to be carted to your $465 per night accommodation. The rug downstairs was grubby with dog smells and stains. There was only one small towel for each person, no extra towels or linens provided at all. We ran out of toilet paper as only one extra roll found. Only cleaning product supplied was half a bottle of cheap decanted dishwashing liquid. Two tea towels for six people for two nights! Washing machine broken. No drinking water, only tap water. Unable to see out the windows of the view as they were absolutely filthy but nothing available to clean them with. No extras at all. Very very obviously simply a money-making venture with zero care for second visits. Tried to get reasonable response from owner and she just texted sorry about the lawn and ignored other comment. Won't be back and cannot recommend for the cost.
