Bordertown Motel

I called 24hrs ahead to see if there was a room but couldn’t guarantee my arrival due to travelling in my 83yo Buick on a very hot day. Reception offered to hold a room if I would let them know if I was unable to make it.
I arrived safely on time and the same friendly reception staff member welcomed me and gave me a back room so my car was out of sight of the road. The A/C was o so I arrived to a cool room in the heat of the 35C day.
The room was everything I needed plus very neat, clean & comfortable.
I would recommend without hesitation.

Honestly couldn’t ask for better service. Knew we would be late getting in and miss dinner so his beautiful wife cooked us a meal after close!!!! Was so greatly appreciated by myself and my husband after a long day on the road. Rooms are comfy and clean, service second to none. THANK YOU!!!!!

Everything was excellent. Was able to book a pet friendly room last minute.
The gentlman that greeted us at reception was so very lovely - 100% customer service. Was able to order meals which were delivered to our room and oh boy what a super surprise - talk about yum. Our room was cosy and comfortable. Pooch very calm.

I mostly photograph the outside of the building because I’m sure somebody will photographic inside. It’s quite dated. Maybe late 70s early 80s on the inside but for people who are concerned about parking a car with a trailer. There are 3 to 4 parking spaces available at this motel
I would recommend parking space number 12th with room 12. If you can that’s where we parked and we stayed in room number 11 which has enough room for two adults and three children. I’ve also added photographs of rooms which have ample parking next to them for large loads than a car and trailer as we were taking with us.

The staff at the Motel were super friendly. The rooms were very neat and clean and had all the amenities that you could need. Good price, comfy bed, affordably priced

We chose a cheaper room closer to the highway and didn't hear a thing all night. Rooms are basic but comfortable and very clean. Service outstanding. We Will definatly stay again. Highly recommended.

Wonderful people who helped 4 stranded travellers including one Chemotherapy patient who had been left abandoned at 11pm after their accommodation in Nhill was flooded and no attempts were made to advise us.

Bordertown Motel was the only business to call us back at midnight and rescue us.

The Owners/Managers refused a tip the next day.

The rooms are a little dated, but pricing is relevant and they are comfortable and quiet.

We liked this place. Room was clean and didn’t smell. Sure its a bit dated, but that was part of the charm. Staff were friendly. If you would like to experience yesteryear, definitely stay here. Highly recommended.

The Bordertown Motel has such a great vibe, I stayed here 3 times in as many months. It's quiet, clean, comfy and there's plenty of hot water. Management and staff are chilled out, and will happily bend over backwards to accommodate you and your pet. Such nice people!

Just on my way to Nuriootpa for the weekend and decided I would stop here for the night. Reception delivered great service. Room rates were fantastic. Room was very quaint. Breakfast was very pleasant. Will stay here again for future trips to Adelaide.

The motel owner welcomed me with wisdom and kindness. As I put my phone against the pay machine I laughed and said, "It's so easy for the money to disappear."
He replied, "But it is not so easy for it to come back!" Then he added, "But money is not important. Not really."
I agreed. "Love is all that is truly important."
He smiled and said, "Yes! Love for God first. If you believe in God?"
I smiled and nodded.
He beamed, "Then love God fully and all else will be right. Your thinking will be pure. Your words will be pure. And your actions will be pure. If you first love God."
We only spent a few minutes together and yet this Sihk gentleman was able to both inspire and encourage me with his faith and wisdom.

Rooms are basic, but very clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was a very good value. Dog friendly rooms. Overall very good experience.

Room was extremely neat and clean. Our stay was very short but couldn't fault any part of our stay.

Very friendly lady who also is part of the business was very welcoming. She even got our breakfast on time so that we could leave on time on our journey. It was clean and had all amenities needed for our overnight stopover stay.

Clean and convenient pet-friendly accommodation between Adelaide and Melbourne.
Rooms were standard for a country motel. Staff there were lovely and very helpful.
There is a restaurant there that serves drinks and pub meals (check opening hours).
I'd suggest you call them to book directly to line up the right type of room and avoid giving the margins to third party booking apps.

This is a base grade one star motel, it presents as such, so no one should be disappointed.
Very clean bathroom, walls, floor. Well made bed. Easy booking and check in

Very nice motel. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The room as a reverse cycle wall ac, toilet, kettle to boil water, oven, toaster, extra pillows, iron machine table and chairs. We only stayed overnight but the experience was good.
