Great food and staff service at decent prices.

Lovely spacious multi-level bar and restaurant overlooking scenic views of The Strand.

As of time of posting (2/3/24), Anelay has happy hour from 3-5pm daily (7 days a week) for $1 dumplings, $2 gelato and more.

Anelay has the best coffee in town! Absolutely adore the waterfront view and seating. The staff are always gracious and it’s fast service. There is never a bad time to visit Anelay for a drink or food!

had a work dinner here and it was great! there was plenty of space for everyone to socialise. the share platters were so yummy and there was a range of cuisines available, cocktails were super yummy and the big bloke making them made an awesome surprise one for us!

Had a ladies long lunch on Sunday - the food was absolutely incredible.

Impeccable food & service 👌 we were visiting from Melbourne where we are spoilt for choice when it comes to dinning in great restaurants so we can say no bad about this place. Staff waited on us from the moment we walked in the door. Bar staff were very accommodating to making drinks that were not listed on the menu. Food was excellent! Chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Pumpkin was cooked to perfection. Potato mouse was also delicious with the smoked salt. The meat was the highlight of the night, the lamb was slow cooked and the meat was so tender it was falling off the bone. The Scotch fillet was also cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. Overall if you are in Townsville and haven't eaten here you are missing out on a fabulous dinning experience which also offers a great ocean view.

Went along to one-dollar dumplings on a Sunday afternoon. Service was excellent, drinks are very reasonable prices.
Six of us had 100 dumplings between us. The pork dumplings were very good, the prawn dumplings were ok. Considering the quantity ordered by the table, only one batch were not cooked properly, and this was fixed immediately after we reported it. We love the laid-back atmosphere at this place with a great view and beautiful afternoon breezes.

Absolutely beautiful meal, right down to the home made chips and well dressed salad. The was cooked perfectly! The staff are super Friendly and accommodating.
I will be back for sure

Popped in for breakfast after the Townsville Park Run. What an experience.

Ordered the Mushroom Omelette with shaved truffle, which was bloody delicious.

Unfortunately my long black had no crema which would be the only disappointment I faced.

Top rate customer service from all staff members I interacted with.

I'm popping this venue on my list of places to revisit.

Love this venue - great ambience, classy cocktails, extensive beer menu and delicious, high quality food with loads of variety for everyone. Cannot recommend Anelay highly enough if you are looking for a classic yet trendy venue with a stunning view for drinks and/or food in Townsville - it rivals those of the capital cities. 5 stars.

Definitely enjoyed my time in the Anelay, food was good, PRICE WAS REASONABLE, food portion were great too. Staff are very friendly and polite, food were served without delay. Had ordered 6 dishes to try, the calamari, prawns & sliders were me & my partners fav! I was reading the reviews below of peeps complaining about prices when you are dining in an establishment of class but expect to pay as less as possible for a prime location and good quality food. Tapas are literally well below $18, mains are priced the same as any restaurant on the strip. Most reviews below doesn't do any justice for this place.

Walking along the strand and found analay’s afternoon deals. Got some chips for $2 lovely presentation and portion. Very happy with this experience. Thank you Analay

Kendra at the bar was an absolute legend. She was helpful and downtown earth. Every bar needs a Kendra on staff!

Casual setting with plenty of options to satisfy everyone in my family. Great place to grab a drink and a meal at anytime of the day. Fantastic passport platter!

We attended the Melbourne Cup event and were completely blown away by the creativity, style and service. Thank you Jake, Shaun and Renee for creating a memorable event that surpassed our expectations. We will be back.

The best spot for after work drinks or a Sunday sesh. The afternoon delight deals between 3-5pm are such good value. Not many places you can get a schooner and side of chips for under $10.

My husband and I have been to Anelay numerous times now and the food is always amazing. I personally love the vibe and looking out at the ocean views. If you are looking for a restaurant that has delicious food, spectacular views and a great atmosphere I recommend going to Anelay.

10/10 amazing service for my allergies food was incredible. Best chicken breast I have ever had, not at all dry. I would have posted a picture of the food but I ate it too quickly.

Just opened to the public, offering morning coffees, etc to the passing walkers on the Strand. They also now offer gelato, and I think, icecreams, from their Prego Geletaria. Perfectly located with an excellent view of the bay.

Morning service was super fast and friendly. Didn't charge for a dairy alternative unlike most places which is amazing. All staff were super attentive and delightful. Great location 💖
