SOS - Stuffed on Seafood

SOS was a beautiful little spot next to the terminal to stuff our silly faces. The jalapeno cheese bombs went so quickly, and I only took a picture halfway through eating them. Definitely top 3 jalapeno bites in the whole of Townsville. The seafood was delicious and fresh, and the chips were perfect. Also, top quality oyster shooters, if you are ready to kick start your holiday. What a feast

Best and freshest seafood I have ever had!! My partner and I went to SOS 30 minutes before closing time and the staff were more than happy for us to sit down and eat. They also said not to rush and to take our time. The food was fresh and staff were so friendly and accommodating! I was so impressed with every aspect of the experience - food, staff and overall vibe. Cannot recommend enough!

A lovely open air spot for fast, fresh fish and chips, and a local Maggie beer.

Relaxing vibe, seating on their verandah which is a good spot to people watch.

Next door has fresh juices and ice-cream!

We had this oh so very nice oysters on our Christmas trip to Magnetic Island.

I love how fresh these were, and i had one deep-fried oyster.

We arrived to Magnetic Island hungry and headed straight to SOS for lunch right by the ferry terminal. Service was very prompt and friendly and the food was perfect. My fish was very juicy, not too greasy, and the prawn skewers were full of flavour; the big bites likewise. Prices are reasonable.

Have eaten here every time I've visited Magnetic Island, and I've never been disappointed. Great food and timely service. As simple as it was, the salad bowl was so good with the house made dressing.

Visited for lunch on Easter Saturday & enjoyed the Decky Platter. Pretty good value and serving size for two people at $55. Morton Bay bugs were delicious! Was pretty hot sitting on the deck, that was the only downside really.

Amazing little seafood place with more variety and excellent quality than you’d expect. Dinner was beautiful and I loved the themed tables! Fantastic spot for the whole family or for a quiet couple night out.

The bugs are a delight. The chips are some of the best chips you will have. Salt and pepper calamari is excellent!

Looking forward to eat there when we come up to magnetic island again.

SOS was a random choice as the places I was going to were either closed or fully booked. But I'm so glad I got here. The food is fabulous! I got the Spanish Mackerel and salad. Great selection of alcoholic beverages too 😀

Had lunch here. Absolutely amazing. Couldn't fault the food at all.
Had the garlic scallops and the cold seafood platter. All fresh and considering it was quite busy, everything came out very promptly.

Came here for lunch and ordered the wild caught barramundi and a half serve of chips. The crumbed barramundi was so delicious and flaky, and our food came out fast.

The first time I came here I was underwhelmed with the portion sizes so I decided against making a review until my second visit and I’m glad I did. The seafood platter was absolutely flawless and the service was amazing. I honestly have never seen oysters and king prawns so big and fresh before and the fish just melted in your mouth. Looking forward to my third visit now!

Best seafood place in Queensland. Freshest, most delicious seafood. Super friendly staff. Meals came out quickly, looked spectacular and were absolutely delicious. Great location. Would 10 out of 10 recommend if you are a seafood lover or even if you just love great food and great service. 👍

Stuffed on seafood is exactly how we felt after leaving this place 😋 Be prepared for yummy fish and chips served the old classic way, on a plate (if dining in). What I loved, is that the fish and chips didn't leave that greasy after taste in your mouth. The chunky style chips were also a hit with my partner, not the typical thin floppy chip you get in most fish and chip shops. SOS is also licensed so you can wash it all down with an icy cold beverage 🍻.

Really great food and really nice venue. The owners have put considerable effort into the decorating and atmosphere. The theme is cute and rustic ocean. The food was delicious and they are even licenced!! Highly recommended to stop in for lunch or dinner. I’d love to see this place become successful! Well done guys!

We ate there 3 out of the 4 days we were on Maggie... the mixed grill with salad was so amazing we had it twice, oyster shots were so fresh and the wild caught barramundi was the best fish we've ever had... what a place.... it was out of this world 🤪🦐🐟🐙🐠🦀🐚🦞

This place is incredible! The staff work like a well oiled machine. I’ve never seen anything like it. Food is well priced and delicious. Definitely recommend getting your fish crumbed! Potato cake was a little oily for my liking but everything else was top notch.

Would highly recommend the shrimp skewers and the bug! Delicious food at a good price! To make it even better the staff are extremely kind, friendly and polite! We ate here multiple times on our stay!
