IGA Magnetic Harbour

Full sized supermarket, very well stocked. Parking is a challenge as it's colocated with the main passenger ferry terminal. There are other businesses colocated such as bottle shop and hire car operators. This was our preferred place on the island to stock up on supplies.

Great range of food at reasonable prices but best of all is the fabulous, funny, welcoming and always helpful staff. We are so lucky to have this service on Magnetic Island.

I originally gave the store 4 stars but we had such excellent service today I would have given it six, such a pleasant young girl who went out of her way to help

Some of the best Indian curries in FNQ! Had to grab a quick meal here on the first night as we caught the 4pm car ferry, so grabbed a butter chicken and mango chicken pre-packed meal for dinner. They were literally the best meals we had on the island the whole trip! We ended having the IGA curries each night for the next three nights we were here. Highlights were the butter chicken (some spice for young ones), mango chicken (good for kids) and beef vindaloo, however the lamb roganjosh didn’t do it for us and we didn’t try the korma either. Meals were $12.99 each. As others have mentioned, IGA has a great range at normal prices, despite being on an island! Other restaurants we liked were Scallywags and Island Burger, located on the way to Picnic Bay, which has a great venue / view and relaxed vibe for lunch. Bottlo adjacent to the IGA was also reasonably priced although a limited selection, understandably.

Overall I recommend the cheese and Juice

Very good well stocked supermarket. Great to have on the doorstep when your staying on Maggie Island. PS the adjoining Off-licence (Bottle-o) is also well stocked with reasonable prices

IGA in general are not the most affordable grocery stores in Australia, especially on an Island setting. However, I think the availability of delivery services from the mainland have managed to keep the prices fair. We visited the Island a few years back and prices were clearly hiked. Very surprised last night to see fair pricing, and store specials. I expect to pay more, its a store on an Island. But everyone can feel value, and when you don't get it, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Well done IGA Magnetic Island, you need the support of the residents as much as the tourists. Greed is ugly, but being valued member of a community is way better. Keep it up!

Very conveniently located with a great range of grocery items. Very good bottle shop located adjacent.

The best Chicken Caeser Salad I have ever had... ever! $9.50 and it was delicious with the right amount of everything (it was not totally overtaken with lettuce like a lot of them).

A great store to shop at but just one issue is the fruit salad most times grapes r just about off pl or the skins been pierced pineapple going brown kiwi fruit has no flavour n at times can be very mushy for $8.50 no thanks .

Biggest and cheapest place for groceries in the island.

I buy stuff to eat in there, but the healthy sandwich bar is way, way, way too close to the fried food section. I can nearly reach over to the Dim sims from....wait, what, there you go...I can literally reach em...Two please...Steve the Bus Depot Supervisor...

Convenient little shop with lots of options. More expansive than the main land, however it’s the only supermarket on magnetic island.

Tamika at the checkout was lovely and thoughtful.

Was served by a very nice gentleman. Can't remember his name, it started with one of the last 5 letters of the alphabet. Anyway, I'll never forget the manly, musky aroma of his, the charm in his words, the bulge in his pants. I will most definitely return to this store so long as he is around.
