Butterfly Walk

Quiet, short, cool, walk. And plenty of butterflies. Also an opportunity to see other wildlife.

Very easy and accesible walk, and as the name says we saw plenty of butterfly 🦋!

We saw so many butterflies it was insane!! It’s breeding season so we had to be extra quiet but we were surprised how active they are. We went there around 4pm in the afternoon and were pretty much alone at the little path .. maybe that contributed to our extra special experience. I found it hard to see where to find parking to get to the walk.. so here my tip: there is a little gallery and if you park in front of there you will find the sign to the butterfly walk easily! (And if you are lucky the guys in the gallery tell you where to find a koala sitting in a tree too :)

Not only will you see butterflys but other little creatures. The fauna and flora is amazing through here. You will also get to see the old primary school from 1949.

I wasn’t that impressed at the beginning but if you stop around half way and wait there are 100’s of butterflies sleeping, they then start to fly around and it is magical. We came in July if that makes a difference, only took 10-15 min from the beach
